Here's the scoop on the RAISE initiative: 1. The USDA and #DOE are joining forces to support agricultural communities through the Rural and Agricultural Income & Savings from Renewable Energy (RAISE) initiative. 2. The goal is to assist 400 farmers in deploying smaller-scale wind projects, aiming to reduce costs and increase income. 3. USDA's Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) has secured $144 million in grant funding specifically for underutilized technologies like smaller-scale wind projects. 4. Additionally, the DOE is contributing $4 million towards testing, certification, outreach, and the development of new business models to support farmers in adopting renewable energy solutions. 5.
