ICMPD in Libya’s Post

The Document Examination Essentials (DEE) Course, held from December 9–13, 2024, in Tunis, was organised by the EU-funded EUBMTLY project in collaboration with the Training Institute on Migration Capacity Partnership for the Mediterranean (MCP MED TI) as part of our capacity-building component. A key highlight of the training was the participation of Libyan co-trainers, who led the event alongside the MCPMED TI trainers. This aligns with one of the core objectives of the EUBMTLY project: supporting our Libyan partners with essential training skills that enable them to cascade knowledge and strengthen capacities within their respective institutions. We would like to thank Hassan Harake and Tarek Al Halabi from the MCP MED TI for their expertise and dedication, which significantly enriched the training sessions. We were also honoured to welcome Davide Silvestri from EUBAM Libya, who shared insights into EU best practices. His contribution highlighted the importance of cooperation between ICMPD and EUBAM in Libya, reaffirming our shared commitment to strengthening Libyan institutions and enhancing capacities for effective border and document management. #DocumentSecurity #CapacityDevelopment #EUBMTLY #EU #EUCommission #EUfunded #ICMPDinLibya #MCPMedTI #MigrationCapacityPartnerships #MCPinAction #TogetherWeDeliver #professionalisation #EUBAMLibya
