I was asked a simple question... "Why have you picked events?" I wish it was possible to give a simple answer, but it's more complicated than I thought to give a single answer that can properly encapsulate as to why I live and breathe events. This answer is the exact same reason as to why I decided to work on CreatorFest. Because through events, we are able to teach and learn from people who are doing so much better than us. With CreatorFest we are able to show creators how to turn their passion into a business. On the other hand, we can show business owners how to effectively showcase their business through creative means.

When you are planning events, it's not enough to tell people what to expect, you have to SHOW people what to expect. Check out this video from Twice Media Productions, LLC on how you can leverage videos to make your event an unforgettable experience Tiffany L. Williams
Transform Events into Powerful Marketing Tools w/ Strategic Videos 🎥Boost Event Attendance, Awareness, & Engagement w/ Event Video 📽Event Videographer | Video Storyteller | Speaker | 2023 SBA Media Advocate of the Year
If I wanted to get more people to my event, I’d do this… Create as many videos as I could to generate a sense of urgency, excitement, and FOMO. 🎦 Case study videos – show the problem, the solution, and the result. 🎦 Key moments from previous events – highlight what got attendees most excited. 🎦 Speakers – not only would I build anticipation for the current event’s speakers, but also post powerful soundbites from past speakers. 🎦 Testimonials - prospects are more inclined to listen to people who you’ve helped than you, so show videos of the transformation past attendees experienced. 🎦 Impact – show your receipts, your footprint, how what you’re doing is helping contribute to something much greater. If it's your first time hosting the event, you have to get creative. Get testimonials and case studies from clients you’ve helped, repost industry-related content that you’ll cover during your event, use stock footage as long as it’s non copyrighted and close to what people can expect. Bottom line: If the goal is to get people there, then you need to show them exactly why they can’t afford to miss out. #letsgo #eventvideo #eventstrategy

Rather than pick for yourself, ask for volunteers……. Serving as an Event Host can be fun and exciting. It entails engaging the audience and making sure the event runs smoothly. Some of the ways you can keep your audience busy is introducing Ice-breakers. This can come in form of Games, Questions and Answers, Trends, Personal Experience, etc. For me,,,,,, Questions/Answers, Rearranging words, Trends and Personal Experiences does the trick, But in course of serving, I’ve discovered that a lot of people react differently to Questions/Answers. Some are jolly good fellows (whether they get the answer right or wrong, they are excited),Some persons cannot handle stage fright, some feel embarrassed when picked to respond to a question and for some, their mood determines their response……… To be on the safe side as the Event Host, I do not call out people, I’d rather ask generally or call for volunteers. What would you rather do, if you were to serve as anEvent Host? #Eventhost #Educator #DictionCoach #TeensChildrenCoach

🔥The first stories ever told were shared around a fire.🔥 From the earliest days of our ancestors, storytelling has been how we connect, learn, and evolve. It’s instinctual—gathering to share experiences, exchange ideas, and inspire action that propels us forward. Audrey Buchanan from The Woods Productions and Cara (Bubes) Stahl from Aura Experiences captured this idea beautifully in our recent webinar all about designing events that stimulate both emotion and intellect. This is the essence of meetings and events. It’s more than just logistics or programming; it’s about creating a space where authentic connection happens—whether that’s around a literal fire or a modern-day equivalent. Today, as event professionals, we’re not just organizing gatherings. We’re reigniting the oldest and most profound human tradition: coming together to share knowledge, entertain, and move forward together. 🌟 Check out the full recap of our conversation to dive deeper into how these ideas are reorienting the way events are designed, bringing it back to what truly resonates with audiences at their core. Today, it feels more real than ever... Today marks a significant milestone on my journey to TEDxWinnipeg: tickets went on sale. As I watched sales open, the weight of what's to come definitely hit me. The countless hours of thought, the effort poured into every word, and the desire to truly connect and make an impact—it's all becoming incredibly real. This journey, while uniquely mine, shares elements common to all of us. Whether it's a project deadline, a new venture, or personal goals, we've all faced that moment where the abstract becomes tangible. It's both exhilarating and daunting. Today, as I refine my talk and hone my message, I'm reminded of the work that lies ahead. The excitement of sharing this stage with amazing speakers and an engaged audience fuels my drive. So, to everyone out there working towards something important, something bigger than themselves: I hope you embrace the journey. The nerves, the excitement, the hard work—it's all part of making your dream a reality. As tickets to #TEDxWinnipeg go on sale, and as I continue to prepare for June 6th at the Prairie Theatre Exchange, I'm filled with gratitude for this opportunity to grow, share, and connect. Let's all keep pushing forward, refining our drafts, whether they're speeches, projects, or personal goals. The reality of our efforts is setting in, but so is the potential to inspire and be inspired. Can you relate? #TEDx #TheJourney #Preparation #RealityCheck #OnlineNetworking #Networking #CommunityBuilding
