Thank you EuropaBio - the European Association for Bioindustries and Claire Skentelbery for organizing today’s webinar and interesting panel discussion focusing on the impact of the #EU’s General Pharma Legislation on Europe’s innovation ecosystem. While Europe has a strong scientific base, European investment in innovation is falling behind other regions. It is important for innovators to have strong predictability of IP incentives, reducing baseline incentives will reduce investment in Europe, especially in the rare disease area and the need to develop novel technologies! Also, thank you Wojciech Nowak, MA, IMD EMBA for highlighting that despite #EU’s historical strengths, we need to consider global dynamics (in particular having a look at #clinicaltrials) when it comes to the future role of Europe in the global innovation ecosystem next to US and China.
