Turck's compact Q150 UHF RFID reader with Ethernet interface is primarily used at single read points. As the only reader worldwide with an integrated EtherCAT interface, the Q150 reduces hardware complexity, such as in logistics systems.⚙ We present the Q150 UHF RFID reader with an integrated Ethernet interface. The IP67 reader communicates directly with PC or PLC systems in Industrial Ethernet networks with the four most important protocols without the need for an additional interface. The Q150-EC is the only reader with integrated EtherCAT; the Q150-EN multi-protocol version works in Profinet, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP and requires no additional power supply thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE). Integration in the control environment does not require the programming of a function block. Instead, the reader comes factory fitted with a U Interface as a simple data interface for easy use. RFID apps for visualization in the Turck Automation Suite (TAS) make it easier to select the optimum parameters. #Fieldbus is a set of protocols encompassing different technologies such as ControlNet, Modbus, Profibus, EtherCAT and standardized HART (IEC 61784 / IEC 61158) used for communication between devices in industrial settings. 🔷 Fieldbus supports various network topologies, including ring, branch, star, daisy chain and tree. 🔷 This offers great flexibility in the design of industrial control systems compared with the past, where RS232 serial communication allowed only two devices to be connected. 🔷 Fieldbus allows multiple devices to communicate over a single connection via a single communication point. 🔷 The component connection structure with Fieldbus is simplified: devices such as sensors, motors, and switches are connected to a single board with a single cable instead of using multiple I/O boards. 🔷 This scheme saves significantly on cable length and quantity, a crucial advantage when distance is an issue. 👇 The link below explains more about how Fieldbus works: https://lnkd.in/dZa-_5Aq #Fieldbus #IndustrialAutomation #Asserind #iiot #Ethernet #Smartfactory
