Data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) showed that the asset under management (AUM) of the Indian mutual fund industry registered 1.23% growth on a month-on-month basis in Nov 2024 to Rs. 68.08 lakh crore in Nov 2024. For the year till date, AUM grew by 34 per cent. AUM of open-ended growth equity-oriented schemes grew by 39%, while the same for debt-oriented schemes grew by 31% during the said period. Under the passive category, AUM for equity-oriented index funds for the year to date surged 87%, while the same for Silver ETFs accelerated by 307% during the same period. AUM for Gold ETFs also went up by 62%. Thus, AUM of other schemes, which comprises Index Funds and ETFs, grew 29% for the year till date in 2024.
