DFDS Business Review On Tuesday, February 27th, and Wednesday, February 28th, Chris Gent and Nathan Booker visited the ICTS-workshops in Ghent and Zeebrugge, Belgium. Their aim was to review and update the existing Service Level Agreement (SLA) between DFDS and ICTS. 🤝 Employing strategic approaches such as Full Service, Zero Defect, Mobile Workshops, Preventive Maintenance, and A and B Services – including MOT – ICTS aims to minimize downtime at the DFDS European Equipment Pool (EEP). 🔧 These measures significantly contribute to the efficient management and enhanced operational performance of the equipment. At INTERCARGO, collaboration with key industry stakeholders is vital to advancing operational standards and safeguarding the interests of our global membership. Through open communication and proactive engagement, we drive positive change across the maritime sector. Continuing this mission, INTERCARGO’s Quality Panel held a productive meeting with RightShip on 25 November 2024. This ongoing dialogue addresses critical issues raised by our members and focuses on delivering meaningful improvements for the bulk carrier sector. Looking ahead, the next meeting is already scheduled for Q1 2025, reaffirming our commitment to long-term collaborative progress. To better serve our members worldwide, the INTERCARGO Quality Panel will expand in January 2025, operating through two regional divisions to accommodate different time zones. The "QP West" division will be chaired by Neda Maritime’s Metaxia Psalti, with Virono’s Tasos Karlis as Vice-Chair, while the "QP East" division will be chaired by Swire Shipping's Debashis Sen, supported by Pacific Basin’s Capt Uttam K. Jaiswal as Vice-Chair. We encourage all shipowners, operators, and managers to join INTERCARGO and contribute to these essential discussions.
