12 years ago, I had my first experience of an academic conference, attending Superalloys 2012 as a first year PhD student. Fast forward to 2024, on my fourth superalloys conference, and I was super pleased to take along members of our IDEA - Intelligent Design of Engineering Alloys group to #Superalloys2024 , whilst I also got the chance to present some of our work and meet some absolute legends of the field. It was fantastic catching up with colleagues from across the globe and already looking forward to Superalloys 2028! (also highlight at the "all greek" chairing panel with Paraskevas Kontis)
I went in 2012, I'm sure my residual stress talk is forefront in your memory! Would love to go again one day.
