While increasing wages does attract higher quality talent, this study finds that simply making job information ‘non-rival’ can have an even larger impact on the quality of hires – the equivalent of a 3-6x increase in wages These findings highlight the value of sharing job information beyond social networks – through job portals, information campaigns and advertising.
