NOT ALL DISABILITIES ARE VISABLE! Did you know? 1 in 6 people worldwide have a disability. Additionally, 1 in 5 people with disabilities aged 15–64 experience social isolation, compared to 1 in 10 people without disabilities. Workplace Barriers: Too many people with disabilities face barriers at work. Statistics show that 39% have faced discrimination or prejudice. While half say their work experience is more inclusive than five years ago, 51% still seek greater accessibility support. On December 3rd , we celebrate the incredible achievements, resilience, and contributions of people with disabilities worldwide. The International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is more than just an acknowledgment—it's a call to action for inclusivity, accessibility, and equity in every part of our lives. As a simple reminder, if you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation - talk with HR.
