NOT ALL DISABILITIES ARE VISABLE! Did you know? 1 in 6 people worldwide have a disability. Additionally, 1 in 5 people with disabilities aged 15–64 experience social isolation, compared to 1 in 10 people without disabilities. Workplace Barriers: Too many people with disabilities face barriers at work. Statistics show that 39% have faced discrimination or prejudice. While half say their work experience is more inclusive than five years ago, 51% still seek greater accessibility support. On December 3rd , we celebrate the incredible achievements, resilience, and contributions of people with disabilities worldwide. The International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is more than just an acknowledgment—it's a call to action for inclusivity, accessibility, and equity in every part of our lives. As a simple reminder, if you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation - talk with HR. As long as the accommodation is reasonable, employers will likely support the request! 😊 #opmobility #actforall Federica Magliacane Gustavo Garrido Gachuzo Jalynne Cross German Martinez Randy Smith https://lnkd.in/eaRCBzTX

Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a time to reflect, learn, and celebrate resilience. Living with a physical disability means navigating life in a different way and at a different pace. It’s important to remember that what might seem simple to some can be an unexpected challenge for others, even when it’s a disability we’ve lived with all our lives or one that came to us unexpectedly. Every day is both a challenge and a victory. But what truly amazes me is the human brain—it adapts, innovates, and creates new ways to approach tasks, ensuring we continue to function, thrive, and achieve our goals. This day is not just about awareness; it’s about embracing the strength and ingenuity of those who persevere. Let’s keep fostering environments where accessibility and understanding lead the way for everyone to shine. #IDPWD #Resilience #DisabilityAwareness #Adaptability #AccessibilityMatters #StrengthInDiversity #EmpowermentThroughInclusion
