🌎 Fellowship opportunities at AIAS. Are you a researcher interested in science diplomacy? Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) is pleased to announce up to four 10-month theme-based fellowships open for application. Science diplomacy is becoming increasingly important for fostering cooperation and bridging understanding between institutions, countries and regions as it operates at the intersections of scientific collaboration, foreign policy and changing global world orders. Increasingly, science diplomacy emphasizes not only expert-driven science, but also broader societal engagement in research. With the AIAS Science Diplomacy Theme Group fellowship (AIAS-SD Theme Group Fellowship), AIAS aims to advance the research-based focus and knowledge of the interdisciplinary relatedness of science diplomacy as an impactful factor across research fields. ⌚ Commencement and duration❔ Fellowships start on 1 September 2025 and run until June 2026. Who can apply ❔ The call is open to curiosity-driven researchers: ✔ from around the world, from Denmark or Aarhus University-based ✔ from all research disciplines within the thematic scope of the call ✔ of any academic seniority with minimum a PhD at the time of the application deadline What AIAS offers❔ As a theme-based fellow you will work on an individual project and at the same time develop your work in collaboration with a team of Science Diplomacy fellows. You will also become a part of a large #international and #interdisciplinary community of scholars who benefit from exchanges and dialogues across research fields, career stages and borders in a thriving and creative house.
