IEEE Xplore Tip: Has your IEEE paper been cited by any US patents or European patents? Go to the "cited by" tab in the IEEE Xplore article abstract record to check. IEEE Xplore now includes US and European patents that cite an article and you can view the full text of the patent via links to the patent office.

💡 I am thrilled to mention that our paper on "Low-Complexity Detection Using Channel Dimensionality Reduction in 6G Uplink Systems" has been accepted for the IEEE 99th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC) 2024.
1️⃣ For a massive MIMO uplink system, our low-complexity signal detection scheme presents a dimensionally-reduced channel matrix and a dimensionally-reduced received signal vector, obtained through multiplication by a sign-based reduction matrix. This breakthrough approach achieves a computational complexity independent of the number of base station antennas in massive and ultra-massive MIMO.
2️⃣ Simulation results show promising outcomes. Albeit with a slight compromise in the BER performance, the complexity achieved is less than 1% of the existing detection schemes. As all previous detection schemes have had computational complexity as a function of the number of BS antennas, the complexity being independent of BS antennas is a significant result, leading towards an extremely low-complexity detection in the upcoming age of ultra-massive MIMO in 6G.
I will be presenting this paper in Singapore between June 24-27 and look forward to connecting with fellow researchers and technology enthusiasts.

CISTER researchers won the Best Paper Candidate Award at RTCSA 2024
The paper entitled "Improved Memory Contention Analysis for the 3-Phase Task Model" authored by Jatin Arora, PhD, Syed Aftab Rashid, Geoffrey Nelissen, Cláudio Maia, and Eduardo Tovar was the Best Paper Candidate of the 30th IEEE International Conference on Embedded and Real-Time Computing Systems and Application (RTCSA). RTCSA 2024 took place on 21-23 August 2024 in Sokcho, South Korea.
The paper addresses the problem of DRAM contention in modern COTS multicore platforms and provides a fine-grained analysis to upper-bound the contention that phased tasks, e.g., the 3-phase tasks, can suffer.
This achievement marks an important milestone toward predictable multicore platforms ✔
