It’s great to see data from our recent Scaling Nature Finance Now report - co-authored with Capital for Climate, Race to Resilience and Race to Zero – featured in this video, which was played at high-profile UK #COP29 events and bilateral meetings. The data, provided by Capital for Climate, shows that $1.67 billion was invested in Brazil’s nature last year – a sign that change is happening. IFACC and our signatories are leading the way on this, supporting efforts across the Amazon, Cerrado and Chaco to generate increased finance for deforestation & conversion-free beef and soy. But there is still a big global finance gap for nature-based solutions and food systems, and we hope that negotiators at #COP29 take concrete action to address this by including food and agriculture in the final New Collective Quantified Goal.
