On July 26, IfADo researchers will present results of their work on the FELICE Horizon 2020 Project at the AHFE 2024 International Conference. The main focus of their presentation will be the focus group surveys they conducted with both users and developers to learn more about the requirements of successful human robot collaboration. 👨🔧🤝🤖 The participants discussed the requirements and possible challenges for successful HRC using the example of a handover task. Both focus groups emphasize usefulness, reliability, and safety as (the most) important criteria for successful collaboration.

Day 2 of the CBExchange conference today. Interesting to learn of competencies that undergirds competencies: metacompetencies.

Good morning! We've started our first day #LMAFest2024. It's a packed agenda, but there's always time for business and we've cleared our calendar! 🤠 🤝 We're a good match to meet if your organization is: 1. Planning to deploy AI tools and wants some expert, non-commercial advice on moving culture, good first steps, and pitfalls to avoid. 2. Interested in safe, automated tools to supercharge high school sports coverage. 3. Looking for a simple, affordable tool to help your non-technical staff work with AI to answer questions like, "How much are houses selling for in my neighborhood?" or "Is it safe to eat there?" Book time with us via the LMA Fest form. We're excited to meet you!

For 2025 we're working on **two** conferences. First, we've got Scalar Conference covering all things #Scala, an event that we've been running for the last 10 years. Last edition was the best so far, and we're not stopping there! :) Secondly, co-located and on the day before Scalar, we're holding a brand new event, Rustikon, covering all things #Rust. Although not immediately obvious, these two languages have more in common, than you might think! :) So - are you ready for a conference bundle? Mark your calendars: * 26 March 2025: Rustikon * 27-28 March 2025: Scalar in Warsaw, Poland. Tickets go on sale soon - we've always made them as affordable, as possible, and this year is going to be no exception. Call for papers is open until 13th of October, but the sooner you submit, the better: * https://lnkd.in/dXq5YD-r * https://lnkd.in/d_En_BD5 Use-cases, tooling, performance, FP/types, AI/ML, async/concurrency/distributed, big data, frameworks/libraries, embedded, ... - there's a ton of things we'd like to hear about, so do not hesitate and try submitting a presentation. Hope to see you there!
