📌 #IFAT Munich, the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, took place in Munich from 13 to 17 May. Our colleague Sabine Ide took a look around for TRANSLATORS FOR THE ENERGY TRANSITION to find out more about the latest innovations in the energy transition and to discuss the relevance of an international approach with the companies in attendance. 🌐 In the field of environmental technology, IFAT is the most important international meeting place and knowledge hub for international representatives from business, science and politics. This year, IFAT, which takes place every two years, focussed on adapting to the consequences of climate change, and particularly the sustainable use of water. ♻ Another focus was the circular economy. After all, utilising all the resources in the economic cycle for as long as possible and in a sustainable manner is one of the most important objectives for mastering the constantly growing global environmental challenges. 💻 Digitalisation in the industry is a crucial element for achieving the environmental goals set. The innovative digital solutions presented are designed to help utilise resources more efficiently with intelligent sensors, meters and tools. ❗ In addition to a strong supporting programme with countless presentations, discussion panels and workshops on current challenges, the approximately 142,000 visitors to this year's IFAT, who travelled to Munich from 170 countries, had the opportunity to discover solutions, products and innovations from 3,211 exhibitors from 61 countries. A trade fair of superlatives! With an exhibition area of around 300,000 m² (the equivalent of 42 football pitches!), this year’s event was also the largest ever in terms of space – Sabine’s feet can confirm this… 😉 🏅 At over 50 %, the proportion of international visitors was higher than ever before, while the figure for exhibitors was as high as 55 %. IFAT 2024 has therefore become even more international compared to the 2022 event. 🌍 These figures are an impressive demonstration of the strong global interest in innovative environmental technologies. After all, climate change is a global issue! The exchange of ideas and transfer of knowledge within the framework of international projects should not fail due to language barriers. And offering your content in various languages helps to accelerate the energy transition on an international scale... ❓ Do you have need to get your technical content translated? 🌍 Excited to Share My Recent Experience at the AMA Global Marketing SIG Conference in #Verona, #Italy! From May 24-26, 2024, I had the privilege of presenting a competitive paper titled "Boundary-Spanning Infrastructures as Enablers of Sustainability in International Supply Networks" at the prestigious American Marketing Association (AMA) Global Marketing SIG Conference. Co-authored with Professor Peter Gabrielsson and Tiina Leposky, our research delves into the structural framework, intricate dynamics and tensions, and sustainability-related outcomes of structured networks as #infrastructures comprising various entities, including individual employees, managers, groups, teams, objects, Industry 4.0-related technologies, diverse organizations, governments, concertiums, and associations. We explored how these interconnected infrastructures serve as critical enablers of #sustainability within multi-tier international supply networks. The conference was an incredible opportunity to share our findings, engage with thought leaders such as Professor Saeed Samiee, and gain invaluable insights from fellow researchers and practitioners in the field of global marketing and sustainability. A huge thank you to the organizers of the AMA Global Marketing SIG Conference for hosting such a vibrant and intellectually stimulating event, and to everyone who attended our session and contributed to the discussion. Your feedback and perspectives were deeply appreciated! Looking forward to continuing this journey of exploring #sustainability in #international business and marketing and international supply networks. Events where things are being built up, such as at fairs or festivals, are regarded as 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀. (Almost) everyone working on these sites is obliged to follow a 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. Inspections are carried out, and sanctions are imposed on non-compliant events. Read more on these regulations: https://lnkd.in/eEgRWMTm However, many event professionals still have questions about the implementation of this new RD, which has been in force since April 2023. That is why we organise on 𝟭𝟵 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 an 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 on this topic at 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, during the first edition of this new trade fair for the event sector, in Waregem expo. Together with our federations FEBELUX, Belgian Event Supplier Association vzw-asbl and ACC Belgium we will cover following 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀: ✔ Who must comply with the regulations? ✔ Who bears which responsibility for safety in the workplace? ✔ What are the consequences of breaching this law? ✔ How can the sector support you in complying with this law? There will also be time for Q&A during the info session, and an apero with the participants afterwards. This info session is 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 for all professionals active in the event sector, but 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is required: ▶ Dutch: https://lnkd.in/eFMP7q4f ▶ French: https://lnkd.in/eahwpmkp

🌐 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 🚀 Hello! Marion here, sharing insights from my recent talk at the IFAT Exhibitor & Marketing Day hosted by the Danish Export Association. The focus of the day was equipping Danish companies to shine at the world's largest trade fair for Water, Sewage, Waste, and Raw Materials Management, scheduled for May in Munich. My key advice, not just for companies exhibiting in Germany but at any national or international trade fair, is to consider the best strategy for your industry and target audience. Here are some key considerations to optimise your trade fair communication: - 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Decide on the promotional material you will take to the trade fair. - 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸: Assess if the material needs adaptation to a localised language. - 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: Ensure your brochures, catalogues, landing pages, and roll-ups are professionally translated into the local language, and possibly English for bilingual communication. - 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲: Consider creating a dedicated landing page presenting your company and products in the local language. - 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄-𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Prepare a follow-up email in the localised language. - 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: Learn a few key sentences in the language of the trade fair. Optimising your communication for the trade fair can significantly enhance your exhibition experience. Reach out to World Translation for expert support. Wishing you successful exhibitions! 🌍🤝 #TradeFairSuccess #LocalisationMatters #WorldTranslationTips
