It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that career growth is only about acquiring new skills or getting promoted. However, what many people overlook is the power of mindset shifts in their career journey. Take the example of an IFS business analyst who wants to upgrade their ERP systems. They might think that the upgrade process is going to be long and tedious, with no real growth opportunities. But what if they shift their mindset and see the upgrade process as an opportunity to learn new skills, build stronger relationships with colleagues, and showcase their expertise to higher-ups? Suddenly, upgrading the ERP system becomes a stepping stone to career growth and personal development. Or consider the power of mindset shifts in integrations with your ERP system. Rather than seeing integrations as merely a technical task, mindset shifts can help you recognize the strategic value of these integrations and how they can support your company's growth. By adopting a growth mindset, you can see every challenge as an opportunity for learning and development. So, the next time you face a difficult ERP upgrade or integration task, ask yourself: how can I shift my mindset to see this as an opportunity for growth? #career #growth #upgrade

ERP Implementation: Realization Phase – Episode 2 | Business Analyst In the previous post, various roles defined for the Realization phase were discussed. Business Analysts act as a bridge between the business stakeholders and the functional team. Let us deep dive further into Business Analyst role: 🔷 Qualification: Typically, BAs have degrees in Engineering or MBA with specializations in Finance, Sales, etc. Additionally, domain experience in sectors such as manufacturing, retail, or services can be incredibly valuable. This experience, combined with ERP functional knowledge, equips candidates to excel as BAs. 🔷 Training: BAs need to have a deep understanding of the client’s industry segment. This helps them grasp the specific needs and challenges of the business. With domain expertise and ERP knowledge, BAs can effectively identify gaps between the client’s current processes and the capabilities of the ERP system. This is critical for customizing the ERP solution to meet the client’s needs. 🔷 Roles and responsibility: BAs work closely with the client to understand their business processes and identify gaps between these processes and the ERP system’s capabilities. BAs also provide guidance and suggestions on where Change Management or configuration and customization would be a better option. The end output would be a GAP analysis summary and Blueprint / Design documentation. 🔷 Attitude : BAs should take complete ownership of the planning and design phases. Their proactive involvement is crucial for setting a solid foundation for the project. Rather than just agreeing with the client, BAs should guide them on the capabilities and limitations of the ERP system. Be assertive when necessary. This includes pushing back on unrealistic demands or suggesting better approaches. Show flexibility and understanding when the client’s needs are valid and require adjustments. #ERP #ERPImplementation #ERPBusinessAnalyst #ERPRoles #ERPTraining #ERPGAPAnalaysis #ERPDomain #ERPBusiness #ERPClient

Do you want to become a better consultant? Here's the secret: Instead of focusing solely on becoming an IFS Expert, spend time developing your interpersonal skills. Did you know, according to LinkedIn data, 57% of senior leaders said they would choose a candidate with strong soft skills over one with more experience but weaker soft skills? Developing your emotional intelligence, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills will help you stand out and build stronger relationships with your customers. Here's a personal anecdote: I worked with a client whose IFS ERP system was failing. I could have just recommended an upgrade, but instead, I listened to their problems and found out that they were struggling with data entry. By helping them improve their data entry processes, we were able to avoid the need for an expensive and time-consuming upgrade. By focusing on the client's needs and developing my soft skills, I was able to provide an innovative and cost-effective solution. So, if you want to become a better consultant, don't just focus on mastering the technical aspects of IFS solutions - focus on developing your interpersonal skills too. #ifserp #ifscloud #consultant
