Another milestone reached as we continue work on the root cellar. We have some trusses in place! You can't see it in the photo but there has been a lot of work done recently to hook up water and other infrastructure and this project is sure coming along. Thanks again to our supporters First Peoples' Cultural Council through the Braided Infrastructure Grant.

📍Did you know Holcroft Moss is an important peat bog habitat, developed over thousands of years? The Places for Everyone Plan has a policy to ensure that new homes and businesses mitigate their impact on this site. 🗣️ The Joint Supplementary Planning Document is a key part of delivering this, and we want your input to help shape it. https://lnkd.in/eQ3xFYd2

Excellent presentations and discussions. What can we do for Scotland's landscapes and what can they do for Scotland's future aspirations?
This workshop hosted by Scotlands Landscape Alliance to review Scotlands Landscape Charter felt like a really important and timely discussion. I was pleased to support the conversation and represent LUC by presenting Claypits as an urban case study. This is Landscape led project that offers significant benefit to the local community through its multi-funcational approach.

One more step towards realizing the vision of Lancaster 2035...advancing innovation in one of our heritage industries.
Lancaster County has applied to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) for a Port Infrastructure Development Grant. The project is a public-private partnership that will see the construction of a hub/depot and processing facility for seafood of many different varieties, particularly invasive Blue Catfish. This project will advance an industry sector critical to our local and regional economy and represents an opportunity to establish Lancaster County as a hub for the marketing of our coastal resources nationwide and internationally.

The vital role every creature plays in our ecosystem. 🐾 Recently, an extinct animal has been reintroduced to help rebuild the ecosystem. The Duchy of Cornwall released 80 water voles into the wild at the River Fowey, making a big difference in improving the wetland habitat. 🔹 **How does small-scale conservation make a big impact?** - Local actions create ripple effects - Every life form is crucial - Our planet is a living being 🔹 **Why is every species important?** - Interconnected ecosystems - Restoration through reintroduction - Appreciating each creature’s role 🌿 **What can we achieve with thoughtful approaches? - Rebuild ecosystems - Sustainable future - Harmony with nature #animalarchitecture #conservation #watervoles #ecologicalrestoration #sustainabledesign #biodiversity #natureinspired #everylifecounts #hazkoba
I love release initiatives, small scale big impact and in an absolutely stunning part of Cornwall. https://lnkd.in/dMKCKTeK
