Iftikhar Ali Gabol’s Post

All the interviewees should be paid for their traveling for the interviews, At the moment in UAE, HRs are getting around 300-400 applications for one position, from which they shortlist at least 20 candidates in each round, most probably they do 2-3 rounds by reposting the same job via LinkedIn, indeed, and other platforms. In the end, averaging 50 candidates are surfing collective100 hours and approx 1k AED for a single position, but HRs are still not liable to hire anyone, they repeat the same process after one month. I have been here in Dubai from last 2 years, I have seen a lot of the companies advertise again and again after every 2 months, and then for more confirmation, I ask for their (companies that are posting repeatatively) reviews from different candidates who went through these interviews. What if they were liable to pay 1k AED for one position and compensate 100 hours to different developers? would company owners dispose these hirings and think to hire again after one month? like they have been doing from years with many individuals? Never, yes you heard right, they would never do this, they would hire candidates in the first round immediately. That's why I must say interviews in the tech industry should be paid, at least software companies should be liable to pay the traveling cost to the candidates. #recruitment #software #softwaredevelopers #developersrecruitment #developers #php #laravel #webdeveloeprs #fullstackdevelopers #phpdeveloper #WordPress #Laravel #MySql #HR #recruitmentmanager #hiringmanager #hiring #openings #jobs #vaccancies
