As the world rapidly evolves into a digital village where technology addresses age-old problems, staying relevant means equipping oneself with the right skills. One effective way to do this is by enrolling in courses and leveraging opportunities from organizations and governments. Nigeria, recognizing the immense value of technology, has shown a strong commitment to equipping its youth with essential tech skills. This commitment is exemplified by the 3mtt initiative, designed to empower young Nigerians with in-demand technological expertise. I was fortunate to participate in this remarkable program, and I’m thrilled to have completed my first course. This 100-hour course, created in partnership with CISCO, focuses on developing the communication skills necessary for securing jobs and fostering smooth work relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. The course is structured to keep learners engaged and motivated throughout. Initially, the course seemed overwhelming and almost impossible to finish within the given time frame. However, with determination and focus, I completed it in record time. Now, I proudly hold certification in workplace communication skills. In addition to the numerous online classes provided, 3MTT Nigeria also gave us the opportunity to learn physically in different tech hubs around the country. We just ended the first week, and I know there is still room for improvement. But let’s look at some small, manageable problems I encountered and observed in my community: 1) 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: Fellows and trainers struggled to stay within allocated time for sessions. 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: Design visual timers on the screen that help everyone be on track. 2) 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆: Some fellows have had no prior knowledge of computer system handling, and the basics, and are finding it difficult to understand and navigate through stuff. 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: Create a survey with relevant questions to better understand how such fellows can be carried along. 3) 𝗜𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Fellows are always asked at entry point to call out their fellow ID number which leads to delay in signing in, as the fellow involved reaches into their bag or device to call the number off some piece of paper or screen. Words cannot thank 3MTT enough for the wonderful opportunity given to me to study wonderful courses online for free and at the same time obtain my certificates for FREE! The courses I have already completed out of 6 free courses are; English for IT 1 , English for IT 2 by Cisco Networking Academy and Professional Soft skills Learning Pathway by LinkedIn. The following are what I learnt: The #EnglishLanguageIT1and2 was among the most interesting of all courses for me. From the context, I learnt on how to focus on English terminology and phrases that can be used in industry covering grammar, Vocabulary, reading and listening exercises to equip my language skills. For the #ProfessionalSoftSkillsLearningPathway, I have learnt the ways to develop my Emotional Intelligence (IQ), understanding my personal IQ and managing my mindset. I have also become a stronger communicator, Listener and Team player. I also learnt on how to boost my critical thinking and decision making skills. My 3MTT Knowledge showcase Fellow: 2 Fellow ID: FE/23/67689749 Location: Edo state, Nigeria Learning track: Software dev This showcase is basically add-on that automates the way we welcome people during an online meeting Problem: Verbally welcoming people during an online meeting does interrupts the meeting and steals into the time allocated for some tasks. Features: • The host is able to welcome each persons as a button is specifically created for the host when they join the meeting. • If the host is too busy to welcome new persons joining the meeting, the button created for those persons exists for a limited time and go away but still welcomes those persons on behalf of the host. Solutions: • Reduces interruptions during our online meetings • Helps keep to a specific time allocated to tasks • Makes our online meetings look more professional #3MTTLearningCommunity #My3MTT @3MTTNigeria

Finally! That's what I screamed in excitement when I finished my foundational courses for software development as a fellow of the 3MTT programme by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy. It was a well-rounded introduction to the world of computer science, particularly software development. The foundational courses covered relevant aspects such as artificial intelligence, software development foundations, soft skills, and courses to improve English proficiency. Hello People I have completed English for IT 2 powered by CISCO through my 3MTT Journey. The course focuses on terminology and phrases used in the industry, covering grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening exercises to equip you with the English language skills valued in IT. Developed in collaboration with OpenEDG, the English for IT series is targeted for learners with at least B1-level English proficiency (lower intermediate) and is built to take you up to B2 proficiency. It was a good refresher course for me as it took me through most of the things I learnt in English and use everyday for communication. #My3MTT #3MTTWeeklyReflection

Our Proposed Solution We hereby propose a comprehensive website development and deployment to enhance interaction with parents, students, alumni, prospective students and the general public. Key Features: - User-friendly, mobile-responsive design - Regular updates and academic resources - Community forums and social media integration - Alumni portal for mentorship and networking - Streamlined admissions info and application process - Contact form for inquiries with automated responses Implementation includes planning, development, content creation, testing, launch, and ongoing support.
