My job is easy. My job is easy because our teammates don’t compromise on doing things the right way. When our CEO Jerod invited us into his home to talk about how he founded Quality Collision Group we didn’t have a script. Honestly, we showed up with no real plan (maybe something not to boast about 🤠). Jerod spoke, and we filmed for about half an hour. No thirty-person crew, no staging, and certainly no teleprompter. And the same goes for all of our content. We show up to our locations and document what is happening. It’s not complicated when you know what you’re capturing is important. And it’s easy when you know with 100% certainty that if you look to the left or right, that your teammates are doing the right thing. So, if you’re in the business of marketing for your company and it’s difficult to do that, ask yourself why? And then set out to change it. It should be easy. No compromise.

In today’s fast paced business landscape, a flexible board can identify and address new challenges or opportunities as they arise, whether related to technological advancements, social issues, or economic shifts. As advisers to boards, we can make meaningful impact.

When client wins and marketing performance are at the forefront of an organisation, global recognition is inevitable. True government innovation takes a lot—strong leadership, organizational buy-in, talented industry partners, new technologies and, of course, individual change agents. That's why we're so excited about this year's Rising Stars Awards—a joint effort of Nextgov/FCW and Route Fifty—showcasing the up-and-comers who are driving change across federal, state and local governments, as well as emerging talent at contracting firms. We're looking for early-career phenoms whose leadership, innovation and all-around extra effort are having a powerful and positive impact. Anyone in the government technology community is eligible—military and civilian, career and political, contractor, academic and association expert alike. Nominees must be less than 10 years into their government IT careers, and winners are chosen for their impact, so be sure to explain what a nominee did and what all that work accomplished. We have so many award lists reserved for people 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 20, 30, and 40. That's cool and all, but how about we push for some new standalone recognitions from the likes of PRWeek, Forbes, Fast Company, TechCrunch, etc., dedicated to (wait for it) people 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 40, 50, 60? Let's call it the "Wisdom Winners" or "Wisdom 50 over 50", you get the idea. Major bonus points if the people selected were relative late bloomers or second actors who hit their stride well after the typical prodigies. People like Morgan Freeman, Rose Blumkin, Bernie Marcus, Ray Kroc, Henry Ford, Martha Stewart, Toni Morrison, Lucille Ball, the list goes on and on. The more resilience, the higher the ranking. I would love to delve into this type of award list, would you?
