MediTalk Connect Assessing Awareness and Attitudes Towards Traditional Medicine in Central Kashmir, J&K The breathtaking landscapes of Jammu and Kashmir, often referred to as “heaven on earth,” are adorned with lofty mountains and dense forests experiencing abundant rainfall and snow. These forests, spanning diverse geo-climatic zones, play a pivotal role in the region’s economy, providing invaluable forest resources essential for human well-being. Amidst this natural richness, traditional medicine, specifically Herbalism or Herbal Medicine, has flourished since ancient times, relying on the use of plants or plant extracts for healing and promoting bodily functions. The Hakeems and Vaidayas in the study area possess a wealth of knowledge about local medicinal plants, perpetuating a system that is predominantly utilized in the remote corners of the Jammu and Kashmir region. Unfortunately, traditional healthcare knowledge, including that of the nomads, faces threats from various natural and anthropogenic factors. Against this backdrop, our study aims to assess the awareness and attitudes of the people in central Kashmir regarding the use of traditional medicine. For this study, we employed a well-designed and validated questionnaire to gather information from a sample of 400 individuals (200 males and 200 females) randomly selected from different Unani hospitals and the study area. The collected data underwent meticulous tabulation, analysis, and statistical interpretation using standard statistical methods. The survey results unveiled that both male and female respondents were well aware of the significance of traditional medicine, particularly Unani medicine. However, a noticeable gap existed in their attitudes toward using Unani medicine for treating illnesses. A majority of respondents (69.5% males, 73.5% females) acknowledged awareness about Unani medicine as a treatment modality for various diseases. Further analysis highlighted that elders in the family were the primary source of information about Unani medicine for a significant portion of respondents (32.5% males, 38.5% females), followed by neighbors (17.0% males, 20.0% females) and friends (15.0% males, 18.5% females). Notably, a statistically significant difference was observed between male and female respondents in their preference for Unani medicine as a treatment option (P<0.01). It checks how well students achieve competences in laboratory-based and clinical settings. Additionally, compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) designed by specialized accreditation bodies is emphasized, along with continual quality improvement. NABET (National Accreditation Board for Education and Training): NABET is a part of QCI and focuses on accreditation for education and training. While it initially focused on various sectors, it has now expanded its scope to match QCI’s goal of creating an ecosystem for quality. It collaborates with institutions to ensure effective management and delivery of holistic education programs, contributing to overall student development. Data Capturing Format (DCF): The DCF is used for capturing specific information related to the assessment and rating of homeopathy colleges. The western medicine people refuse to learn from antiquity because their mindset stamped the world as Pagan, wild and illiterates ( mainly on the basis that they did not use forks/knives and that women were not shy to show their breasts and their souls needed “saving”) without ever realising that all the forest people have great medicines and understanding of life. Luckily their minds evolved and now in the last few decades they have started learning from local medicinal lore but the corporatising of medicine has negated everything. Their need to make money is the prime motive today and not healing which they know as they always knew that it is the body’s own energies that do the healing heal. It is does not require great intelligence to see that a wound may be covered and healing pastes applied but the wound closes by itself thru the body’s own magic. Large scale manufacture of standardised drugs is their aim anf protocols established by some closed-minded authorities is how they are making and running their education of doctors and hospitals. The same treatment is offered in New York that is available in Delhi; how is that possible? A system that does not take lifestyle and geographic elements into consideration is basically incomplete. Do you know that a british doctor learnt basic plastic surgery in India and went back to England and showed it as his new development in the 18th century. They have learnt nothing. The western closed mind is the result of the closed loop thinking of the Christian faith that considers itself all fount of knowledge. Everything they advocate finally smacks of their barbaric tendencies. The burning of people at the stake of all deniers, of wise women as witches, the Inquisition etc are pointers. Today the books of history/knowledge that are freely available and taught are basically the history of Europe. And the rest of the world is left in our education as "indigenous" knowledge of no worth which has to be researched which actually amounts to reinventing the wheel.

👩⚕️ To get admission to top medical colleges of India for pursuing courses in different medical programs like MBA, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Nursing, a student has to clear NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency). ♦ Being a competitive examination, around 24 lakh candidates appeared in NEET this year as usual. NTA conducted the NEET examination on 5th May and released the results on the 4th of June Evening., i.e. before the elections. 😧 But NTA has published shocking and unexpected results that are logically impossible. Here is what you need to understand: 1. Due to the competitiveness of the Neet exam, it becomes almost impossible to achieve full out of full marks. Previous records say that a maximum of 2 to 3 students have attained the AIR 1. But you would be shocked to know that this time, NTA has given AIR 1 to a total of 67 students. Since a big question arises- Did all the students get much more intelligent at the same time and achieve an AIR 1? OR Was the NEET paper too easy so that these students scored AIR? 👉 However, the analysis of coaching institutes states that the difficulty level of the NEET exam paper was moderate to difficult. This makes everyone think much about the NTA NEET scam. 2. Another unrealistic incidence was that 8 students of Haryana Center got All India Rank 1 in NEET 2024 again raises the big question of how is it possible that an examination for which a normal student prepares by taking years of drops, still is unable to score all India rank in NEET. Then how can 8 students of the same center have scored the AlR 1, highly unrealistic and shocking for everyone who is giving coaching and mentoring the NEET students! 3. The next shocking thing is the abnormal marking pattern of NTA. The agency has given wondering marks (718 and 719) to 2 students of Haryana which is logically impossible. 👉 Let me clear for you: The NEET examination is of 720 marks consisting of 120 questions, 4 marks are given for each correct answer whereas a -ve marking is 1 mark. So, here are 3 cases: * Suppose if someone got full marks then his score becomes 720. * But if he leaves 1 ques. out of 180 ques, then his score becomes 716. * And if he does 1 wrong ques. out of 180, then his score becomes 715. ⛔ The marks given by NTA are greater than the actual marking scheme which also identifies the possibility of a scam. The American Medical Association and the Hijacking of the Healthcare Market. “The physician’s highest and only calling is to restore the sick to health, to cure, as it is termed.”[1] The reader could be forgiven for thinking that such an aphorism should be self-evident, but when the German physician Samuel Hahnemann wrote these words in 1810, he was asserting a radical departure from the medical practices of his day. So radical, in fact, that his work would ultimately lead to a revolution in medical care that threatened the livelihoods (and intellectual sinecures) of the established conventional doctors, and a vituperative counter-assault that led to the founding of the American Medical Association (AMA). When there was a free market for medicine in the United States, patients overwhelmingly chose homeopathy, a complete and principled form system of care, for themselves and their families. The disease, destruction, and death, that marks the state of so-called “public health” in the US now is a sad testament to the suppression of the medical marketplace. This is not an article about homeopathy, but this debate contains the seeds of today’s crisis. The long-buried story is elucidated by Harris L. Coulter in his scholarly 1973 book, “Divided Legacy: The Conflict Between Homoeopathy and the American Medical Association.”[2] American medicine was hijacked long before the infamous “Flexner Report” of 1910; without what happened in medicine in the 19th century, the AMA would never have succeeded in monopolizing the industry in the 20th. Hahnemann attacked the allopaths for abusing and killing patients with ego-driven theorizing and speculative hackwork, and he proposed a alternative system of medicine based on empirical observation and rigorous principles. The dominant medical view of the 18th and 19th centuries was that disease could be understood mechanistically and reasoned out inductively.
