Found a few reframes here that were useful. Headline: There is no end point to transformation. Disruption is not a one-and-done thing. We are living in an era of disruption, and companies that thrive will have an evolution cycle, which is a mechanism to anticipate or identify disruptions and respond accordingly. In bullets: Expect disruption - have a transformation or evolution mechanism Experiment and learn – companies that win through disruption. Foundational, Core, Strategic – stages of development post disruption. Respond, Recover, Thrive – Framework to manage disruption. Scenario planning, no-regret action plan – decide what you will do, no matter what. Expect more from leaders - at a minimum communication, authenticity, empathy, vision, and experimentation Mission, Purpose, Values - remain anchors and North Star Purpose, Principles – aligning decision-making with culture. Understand, Pilot, Partner – actions for leaders in preparation mode "We’ve done it already" – extracting evidence for managing disruption from COVID. https://lnkd.in/eDFnXqsf

Master the art of strategic decision-making. More than 60% of executives report that complexity and uncertainty are the primary factors hampering effective decision-making. Introducing The Stacey Matrix... The Stacey Matrix, created by Ralph Douglas Stacey, helps leaders navigate challenges effectively and with confidence. Here’s how it works: → Simple Challenges: rely on best practices and rational approaches. → Complicated Terrain: adds complexity, requires analysis and nuanced strategy. → Complex Realms: calls for adaptability, innovation, and a trial-and-error mindset. → Chaos: focus on stabilizing before tackling further complexity. Sharpen Your Strategic Thinking with the "Six Disciplines" The feeling of constant change is many a times overwhelming for leaders, brands, and organizations. Young leaders must equip themselves with practical frameworks to navigate uncertainty. Forget strategic thinking as a vague concept - we have actionable tools to develop six key disciplines that foster strategic thinking. Mastering these disciplines isn't about superhuman genius - it's about honing a learnable skillset: 1. Pattern Recognition: Spot hidden trends to predict future challenges and opportunities. 2. Systems Perspective: See the big picture, understanding how parts of your organization work together. 3. Mental Agility: Approach problems from different angles to find innovative solutions. 4. Structured Problem-Solving: Break down complex issues into manageable steps for clear decision-making. 5. Visioning: Craft a compelling future state that inspires and motivates your team. 6. Political Savvy: Navigate internal dynamics and build alliances for successful implementation. This was a sponsored post from Harvard Business Review about strategic thinking. It may be useful to you. Here are some insights I teased out; 1. Strategic thinkers set goals, allocate resources, assess risks and trade-offs in decision-making, and create value by offering superior solutions. 2. They don't just accept the basic option; they generate a range of viable alternatives. 3. Being strategic means having the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and the mental agility to overcome challenges and find new ways to achieve goals. 4. By defining strategic thinking as having insights that lead to an advantage, we can evaluate our own strategic capabilities. #Strategicthinking #Growth #Development

Leaders often get stuck fighting fires because they're too busy working IN the business rather than ON it. That's not a time management problem - it's a thinking problem. Here's what I've noticed after working with hundreds of leaders: Most of us default to action before strategic thought. We're so focused on moving forward that we skip the critical thinking that would actually solve the problem. Here are 7 actions that transform the way you think strategically: - Understand your resources (before making commitments) - Solve root causes (not just symptoms) - Expand your moves (think beyond the obvious) - Listen to perspectives (especially opposing ones) - Question initial impulses (your first thought isn't always best) - Test your assumptions (what if you're wrong?) Leadership in a tech-driven world—what should we prioritise? Watching this video in preparation for a course next week (link below) reminded me how much leadership is about human connection, especially as technology advances. While we’re embracing new tools, I think it’s important to focus on these leadership traits: ❤️ Emotional intelligence – In a world of automation, our ability to connect, understand, and lead with empathy is more valuable than ever. 💡 Creative problem-solving – Technology can handle the routine, but the ability to think outside the box is still uniquely human. 🎯 Purpose-driven leadership—It's easy to get wrapped up in the latest tech, but keeping our teams grounded with a clear sense of “why” makes all the difference. As leaders, we should not compete with technology but use it to strengthen what makes us human. What do you think are the top leadership skills to focus on moving forward? Let me know in the comments! https://lnkd.in/e7aeX3t8 #Leadership #FutureOfWork #HumanConnection
