Project Update 🚧: 🪢Advanced Rigging🪢 Advanced rigging techniques used by rope access technicians involve a combination of skills and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency in challenging environments. These techniques are employed to manoeuvre and stabilise loads, access difficult-to-reach areas, and perform tasks in a variety of industrial settings. These techniques empower rope access technicians to work more safely, efficiently, and effectively, allowing technicians greater ease and precision. This is demonstrated in our image below from a recent #Kerrect project! #advancedrigging #ropeaccess #heightsafety #projectupdate #heightaccess

📸: With rope access inspection not being a mainstream service in New Zealand, I.A Solutions’ asset integrity team is providing new opportunities for its clients. The team recently conducted an ultrasonic thickness testing (UTT) survey of a gas conditioning tower at a cement plant, taking UTT readings at 2 m grids throughout the vessel’s interior. This is routine condition monitoring taking place during scheduled maintenance shutdowns, previously not possible without the utilization of rope access internally. The vessel had never been entered before, so significant confined space atmosphere monitoring and rope access rescue was necessary. Twelve sets of ropes pre-rigged for rescue were set up, and technicians transferred their way around the vessel. All inspec- tors held UT Level II and IRATA level 3 qualifications. Submit your high-res photo out in the field performing nondestructive testing to MEEditor@asnt.org, along with a 100-150 word summary about what is happening in the photo(s) for a chance to be featured in an upcoming issue of Materials Evaluation! #asnt #ndt #nondestructivetesting #ndtcommunity #inspection #photos #ropeaccess #ultrasonicthickness

Have you booked your pre-crossing rig check? At RSB Rigging, our rig checks focus on a thorough visual inspection of the mast, boom, and associated hardware. These routine checks are critical for identifying potential issues before they develop into more serious problems. During this inspection, an RSB technician will carefully examine all visible components to ensure they are in good condition and functioning as expected. Following the inspection, we provide a detailed report outlining any identified problems and recommendations for rectification. This report includes a summary of the inspection, photographs where necessary, and a clear action plan for any necessary repairs or maintenance. After each rig check, we ensure that the rig log is updated with all work carried out, keeping a thorough record for maintenance and compliance purposes. A copy of the updated log, along with the detailed report, will be provided to the yacht’s crew and, if necessary, sent to the mast manufacturer. Make sure to book in early to avoid a last minute rush: projects@rsb-rigging.com +34 971 495 931 #rigcheck #riginspection #yachtrigging #superyachtrigging #sailingyacht

As a rig electrician, When dismantling a complex set-up with a multitude of cables, identifying plugs and receptacles can be a daunting task. One effective way to tackle this challenge is to label each cable/component with a unique identifier. This simple step can save you time and frustration during the reassembly process. Rig up, Rig down and Rig Move. This is part of our scope of work. #cablemanagement #organization #efficiency 💼🔌🔍
