VAR Technology Will Debut in Late August in Finnish Football: GOAL SPORT SOFTWARE is the System Provider for the Suomen Palloliitto - Football Association of Finland The introduction of VAR (Video Assistant Referee) in Finland will begin with the men's Finnish Cup semi-final on August 21. It will also be used in the women's and men's Finnish Cup Super Weekend finals in September 2024, as well as in Veikkausliiga qualifying matches and the Euro final tournament. Before these events, VAR testing will occur at the Helsinki Cup. For the 2024-2025 seasons, a mobile VAR center will operate from a VAR car (OB van), enabling its use in all stadiums. Plans for 2026 include implements a VAR center to support VAR operations.
