During a recent visit to schools implementing the BEFIT EdTech program, I had the opportunity to meet with community stakeholders and hear firsthand about the program's impact. One parent shared something that truly stood out to me: beyond improving literacy and numeracy skills, BEFIT is introducing digital literacy to learners in remote areas—some of whom have never seen or touched a smartphone, let alone a tablet. This conversation made me realize that the BEFIT program is doing more than improve the learners literacy and numeracy skills; it’s helping bridge the digital divide for young learners, a significant step forward for the future of our country. I look forward to a day when these little ones will come out as giants in tech.
