I am very proud to announce that I've finalized my Master of Arts in Applied Imagination at Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London with First Class Distinction. What an honour! MA Applied Imagination (MA AI) is about creating new knowledge, creative problem solving, and collaborative global change making through iterative action research. My MA AI research project, VINO: FORMA, COLOR Y MOVIMIENTO (VFCYM) [WINE: FORM, COLOR, AND MOVEMENT], follows the question, “How can exploring form, color and movement visualize the feeling of tasting Chilean wine profiles?”. The VFCYM project explores how creative expression can revitalize the perception and understanding of a wine tasting experience for non-wine experts, wine experts, non-Chileans, and Chileans. In short, VFCYM’s research methodology and findings can contribute to Chilean wine consumption, Chilean wine tourism, the international trade of Chilean products, awareness of Chilean cultural heritage, and the intersection of food art and immersive culinary experiences at large. I chose to focus on wine because of its importance to my Chilean cultural heritage. Wine is humankind's first luxury product, and it will forever be part of the global cultural narrative. I would like to thank Anita Jackson from Wines of Chile / Vinos de Chile, Diego Benavente Hurtado from Matetic Vineyards, Ralph Barker from Bompas & Parr Studio Ltd, and Nicolas Poblete from ProChile UK for contributing to my action research process.
