You can also turn the axis on and off to better analyze the data. 🔗 https://tabsoft.co/4gcQLrw The curvy radar chart was created using the method described in Alexander Varlamov's blog, with major help from Ken Flerlage. I was stuck for a long time before I reached out to Ken for help adding curvature to the line, and I never expected the level of investment he put into helping me with this project. He made it better than I ever could have on my own, and even developed multiple types of curvatures to choose from (I went with the Sigmoid curve). Go under the hood of my workbook to see what this data looks like as a sine or quadratic curve. Ken is a true data rockstar, visionary, and all around great person. Thank you so much, Ken! Hello #datafam I'm thrilled to unveil the insights extracted from my analysis of the TMDB Movies Dataset as part of the April 2024 DataDNA Challenge. My exploration delved into the rich tapestry of the movie industry, spanning a century and eight distinct eras. With over 1.2 million rows of data sourced from TheMovieDatabase.com, the dataset provided a robust foundation for my analysis, encompassing vital information including budget, revenue, language, popularity, vote, directors, cast, and producers. The journey began with meticulous data transformation steps, including the rectification of incomplete rows and the parsing of certain columns to address multiple elements, such as genre. The creation of a custom column, profit, facilitates a comprehensive exploration of cinematic trends. The primary objective of the analysis was to discern prevalent trends and patterns within the Movie Industry, which are illustrated in the accompanying dashboard image. I utilized Power BI as the primary tool for this #datadna challenge. It is interesting to note U.S. adults stand on eating different species of animals and whether it is morally acceptable or not to eat some animals under normal circumstances. Do take a look at this viz to know more. I have dived deep into Map Layers this week, and a new find for this week was to create a bar chart on Maps.
