Photonect Interconnect Solutions (Juniyali Nauriyal, Cohort 2023) is developing an integrated photonic chip with broad applications for photonic devices, from consumer electronics to space exploration. The key? Photonect uses a laser adhesion technique to attach optical fibers to photonic chips. This technique is 10X faster and 4X more efficient than conventional glue methods and can reduce the cost of attachment by 50 percent. Momentum Optics is pioneering a groundbreaking method to produce freeform optics using a laser-based, non-contact technique that drastically reduces production time and cost. This innovative process allows manufacturers to create optics in previously impossible shapes, unlocking new possibilities for industries like quantum computing, medical technology, and defense.
