Only a day to go until we open up our Q4 cohort of How To Do Semiotics in Seven Weeks. I am filled with anticipation for the start of another teaching journey and a learning journey for the 16 students joining us on the cohort. This is our 20th cohort and we’ve had 150 students graduate. I’m looking forward to this one as much as any of the others. And I cast my mind back to where it all started. In May 2020 I was at home in the middle of the Covid lockdown in the UK and saw an opportunity to fulfil a lifelong ambition to rethink the way semiotics is taught. I’d taught it at university at MA level but believed that theory could be distilled into something even more practical. I signed up to Danny Iny's Launch My Courses with Mary Williams, MSI as my 1-1 coach. There I realised that I needed to fix all the issues with the way semiotics education works. 25 In-depth interviews over 14 weeks I got to eh bottom of some major pain points with how people learning semiotics. 1. MAKE THE LEARNING MORE ACCESSIBLE 2. GIVE US AN OVERVIEW OF THE ESSENTIALS 3. SHOW ITS PRACTICAL USEFULNESS IN ACTION  4. ALLOW US TO APPLY OUR NEW KNOWLEDGE  5. LEAVE US ENTHUSED TO WANT EVEN MORE This course, is literally the result of seeking to fix those issues. We are now sold out for this quarter but already selling tickets for Q2 2025.
