What makes a good climate tech company? In this video, Liza Rubinstein Malamud, our Co-Founder and Head of Impact, breaks it down for you. 🚂 Size of the problem: does solving the problem really move the needle? For example, concrete is responsible for 5% of global emissions. Compared to the production of plastic bags (aside from the waste problem), its a much bigger problem to solve with a bigger impact on GHG emissions. 📊 Depth of the impact: does the technology give incremental results, or does it make a significant leap forward? This is important to estimate whether this technology will still be relevant in 2050. ♻️ Systemic impact: we’re trying to reshape the entire economy. Therefore we want to make sure that our scarce resources are used where they're needed most. ❤️ Broader impact: aside from reducing greenhouse gas emissions, we also aim to address other social and environmental challenges along the way.
