Morning Everyone, nice out here, hoping all is well ?
Going to tag lots of people, if your following, comment if you like.
Some got upset, some offended, some went silent so just letting people be.
No apologies anyone, truth is truth.
Some don't want truth, on certain matters that's on you.
Still in process here of researching global oil and gas industry for recently entering the industry. Getting my bearings here.
If following my Global Gas Flaring Research Study that sparked some on here in more that one location of our global industry and you wish to be up to date scroll my past posts on Global Gas Flaring;
Sunday Sept 1, 2024. 7:40 PM,
Aug 31, 2024. 8:00 AM,
Saturday Aug 25 11:59 AM 2024,
Aug 17, 2024. 8:00 AM,
I wonder as others wondered why Global Gas Flaring is required at all, creating millions of tons of damaging emissions at the great expense of waste of a rare and valuable natural resource ?
Please see my Aug 17, 2024. 8:00 AM post, a re-post of Mr. Geoff Rowe post;
"Don't be alarmed: Natural gas flaring taking place near Regina"
&
"Flaring is a standard practice in the industry"
which I replied to, including Mr. Elon Musk, rockets being a very considerable emission and I believe if climate change is going to be implemented then a triage approach is required globally.
First stop all the wars globally then work down from there, addressing the most serious and large factors first, such as Global Gas Flaring and increasing numbers of rocket launches which created vast emissions.
Present methods of addressing global emissions to me are starting to appear the more I study, to be exempting larger high end wealth and powerful challenges to political systems making gains off smaller less wealth and less powerful challenges.
I found very considerable proof and evidence yesterday here, I submit here for all to review in continuing my industry research to my finding a space in Global Oil & Gas Industry.
Not against Global Oil & Gas.
Against corruption in any and all forms where less powerful pay the price and living things pay the price so some become rich, powerful, abusing our free enterprise system.
A lot of videos, I never seen before ever, list this morning for yous to view.
I turn off the volume, speakers are mainly absolutist thinkers but must take the visual evidence for the proof and witness it truly is.
Not seeing this as "Just End Oil" neither do I see us ever having in Flaring any gas or oil production anywhere ever, not in this day and age, certainly never a standard practice in my oil & gas industry.
I am taken back by Ducks Unlimited and their silence here?

Yup, they've decided to do it.
bp is going ahead with its hottest, deepest, highest pressure oil field so far.
It's called Kaskida and lies under the Gulf of Mexico. Yes, that's where bp faced its darkest hour back in 2010.
A rushed schedule and management incompetence led to a catastrophic blow-out that spilled more than 100 million gallons of crude.
I'll never forget seeing the humiliation on the faces of senior bp people as they were forced to invite in experts from rival oil companies - the shame, imagine - to find ways to plug the leak. It took them 87 very long days.
Now they're back, with a plan I wrote about recently https://lnkd.in/ghEDMUmg following excellent reporting by Javier Blas of Bloomberg.
Ocasionally I post translations of climate language. This time I'll focus on a kind of anti-climate language, some Paris-busting oil industry terms that we need to know:
20K: It's not a sum of money but the pressure of the oil in Kaskida. It's a measure of pounds per square inch. Previously, oil wells have only handled pressures up to 15K. So '20K' is a new frontier.
BOP: This stands for Blow-Out Preventer. It's a massive tower that sits on the seabed at the wellhead and is designed to, er, prevent blow-outs. The one installed in 2010 didn't do its job, obviously.
HP/HT: Translated, this means 'extremely challenging'. HP stands for High Pressure, as in 20K, and HT means High Temperature as in above 120C.
In its press release, bp sounds confident about all this, no surprise: https://lnkd.in/eFvnqmze
But it also highlights a push to keep costs down - I assume to please the markets - to "drive cost efficiencies across Kaskida’s construction, commissioning and operations". Am I alone in feeling a tad nervous about any hint of cost-cutting in this untested realm?
For more, I recommend watching the Transocean video below.
Is this development really Paris-busting? Not the first phase which will produce 80,000 barrels a day by 2029. But this is just the start: the project "unlocks the potential future development of 10 billion barrels of discovered resources".
You can find lines about 'net zero' and the 'transition' on the BP website. But, let's be honest, the company's main focus is firmly below ground.
Final thought, for my critics: no, I don't want us to return to caves; yes, I use oil; but also yes, I've read the science that says we must use a lot less of it to avoid turning the climate even more hostile than it is already and that we now have plausible technologies to do that.
North American Energy Interdependence=Prosperity for North America: One of the reasons Canadians are so poor they are lining up at foodbanks across Canada is that we have kept our energy in the ground, and used a national carbon tax to buy made in China wind/solar/EVs/heatpumps that don't even work at -40 in our cold dark winter nights! In direct positve contrast, the US has had no carbon tax, and has shown the world how to reduce emissions by shifting from coal to natural gas, and in 2024 the US became the largest producer/exporter of oil, gas, LNG of any country in the world. And in direct economically absurd contrast our CDN PM said to both Germany and Japan "There is no business case for LNG in Canada". The US response, they have provided LNG to their allies!
Are you concerned about the safety of your employees and residents in the event of an unanticipated hazardous gas release?
Our Emergency Gas Scrubber is designed to control catastrophic gas releases from 68 kg (150 lb.) to over 2 tons, while mitigating any risk to human lives in the surrounding communities. This scrubber prevents toxic #chlorine (Cl2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Fluoride (HF), or #ammonia (NH3) gas releases by providing immediate removal of leaking gas. Nothing is more important than protecting the safety of staff, and those living nearby.
Check out our animation to learn more about how the Purafil Emergency Gas Scrubber works. #ToxicGas#Safety#HydrogenFluoride#SulfurDioxide
On May 16, 2024, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Environmental staff approved Gulfstream LNG Development, LLC’s request to initiate the Pre-Filing Review Process for its Gulfstream LNG Project in Docket PF24-5.
Every FERC case has its own unique docket number. This number allows any member of the public to search for and view the most current administrative record for a proceeding in FERC’s eLibrary: https://lnkd.in/dy3gWqGh
The administrative record includes comments on a proceeding from you and the public. The docket number is also essential to know in order to file comments on a proceeding.
