🤔 Freelancers vs. Full-Time Employees... whom should you hire?? Navigating the hiring landscape can be tricky. So, should you go for freelancers or full-time employees? Freelancers are fantastic if you have temporary needs and a light workload. Need someone with specialized skills for a short project? They can jump in and get the job done without the long-term commitment. But if you’re facing a heavy and consistent workload, it might be time to think about bringing someone on full-time. Full-timers not only help with ongoing tasks but also integrate better into your company culture and can be trained to fit your specific needs. It's all about balance! Sometimes, a mix of both freelancers for flexibility and full-time employees for stability works best. What’s been your experience with hiring? #Hiring #Freelancers #FullTimeEmployees #BusinessStrategy #TeamBuilding

𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥-𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐯𝐬. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 💼 Recently, I’ve been reflecting on the differences between recruiting full-time employees and freelance talent, and one key learning stands out: Freelance recruitment requires a laser focus on short-term, specialized needs, while full-time recruitment is more about long-term cultural fit and growth potential. With freelancers, the priority is finding someone who can hit the ground running, solve a specific problem, and bring immediate value. But when hiring full-time, it’s not just about the skill set – it’s about finding someone who aligns with the company's vision, who’s in it for the long haul, and ready to grow alongside the business. Both approaches are crucial, but understanding when to use each is key to building a balanced, flexible workforce. What’s been your biggest learning when it comes to hiring freelance vs. full-time? Let’s discuss! #Recruitment #Freelancers #FullTimeTalent #HiringStrategy #TalentAcquisition #WorkforceDevelopment

There's no right or wrong way to hire freelancers, but the process should look somewhat different than hiring for FTEs ⬇️ When hiring freelancers, it is crucial to have a customized interview process that is shorter and focuses more on their exact skillset. Unlike full-time employees, freelancers are usually hired for specific projects or tasks, so assessing their skills and expertise is important to ensure they are the right fit for the job. By streamlining the hiring process for freelancers, companies can save time and resources while ensuring they get the most qualified individuals for the job. It also ensures prospective freelance hires don't feel dragged along and drop from the process, draining your Talent pool in the long run. #themoreyouknow #FlexTal #freelance #hiringtips #1099staffing

The last few months I've been out meeting alot of corporate clients and I wanted to share some common pain points when it comes to hiring freelancers - Many struggle to attract the best in the market creative talent. - It can take a while to get a new contractor set up on their system. - The process of onboarding freelancers is nonexistent and causes stress on hiring managers. - The recruitment partners they work with are generalists rather than specialists. - They need to go through their internal talent team who are under pressure with so many roles on. - So many hiring managers are time-poor and are struggling to get their own job done. Imagine a system that gives you full visibility of freelance talent that are vetted specifically for your organisation with their real-time availability. We help you with onboarding talent, take the admin pain away, and give you access to cutting-edge creative freelancers, we will even allocate an industry expert to act as your client partner. If you are interested in hearing more- drop me a message and we can set up a meeting. #creativenatives #buildthebench

If you are looking to hire someone (freelance or full-time), please read this before you post: We all want to put our best foot forward and create the space for success so: 💁♀️ When you post that you are looking to hire, please be clear about the role, including a title if one exists. Give a 2-3 sentence description of what kind of candidate and skills you are looking for. Include whether the person needs skills in a particular industry. What languages are required? Is this a full-time position, freelance, temp or part-time? 💁♀️ Be sure to include information about location requirements, remote work, hybrid, etc. 💁♀️ This may seem obvious, but be clear about what the company name is so that interested candidates can do their own research. If you are a recruiter, this may be divulged in a one-on-one conversation, but keeping it a secret longer only makes the position seem sketchy. 💁♀️ Please link to a job description that either has a link to apply or has clear information on how to apply. If you are hiring for yourself, and/or you're posting off Linkedin, share your email address so people know where to contact you. If you are not the person to contact, be clear what that person's full name is and their email or LinkedIn url. Save your time and the candidate's time by being as straightforward as possible in your posts and job descriptions. This will prevent you from answering many DMs with the same questions. Candidates will also take you more seriously if you know what you want and when you want it. Candidates, did I miss any other important details? #hiring #hr #jobs #careeradvice #linkedinadvice #jobmarket

Are you recruiting for a director in your business? Have you considered hiring on a part-time basis rather than employing someone full time? There are many benefits to consider: A part-time board director can be a cost-effective choice for businesses, offering high-level expertise without the full-time commitment and associated costs of a full-time hire. Hiring a part-time freelancer will often be faster than traditional recruitment methods, and you will not have to pay recruitment fees. You only pay your director for the hours worked, opposed to the significant fixed costs of a full-time employee. This gives you the flexibility to suit the needs of your business. As a freelance director will have experience in a multitude of organisations, they will provide fresh perspectives, broader skill sets and sharing of best practices, innovation and opportunity for business collaboration.
