Applying to 100 jobs isn’t a flex. It’s the job search equivalent of working hard without a clear strategy, which can make it harder for the right opportunity to find you. It’s not that you’re not good enough, it’s that your strategy needs a glow-up. Where it’s might going wrong? 1. Applying to everything from "CEO" to "Intern" isn’t a strategy; it’s chaos. 2. A generic resume that screams “𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘏𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳, 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘐’𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦” won’t cut it. Tailor it. Polish it. Make it shine. 3. Thinking applications alone will get you hired? In this economy? Hun, your new job isn’t in a pile of ATS submissions. It’s hiding behind a LinkedIn connection request or a well-mannered chat. 4. Your cover letter: “𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘚𝘪𝘳/𝘔𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘮, 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘫𝘰𝘣.” Yeah, no. Be human. Be specific. And for the love of emojis, avoid clichés like “hard-working team player.” Rejection isn’t about you, it’s about them not recognizing your potential. So, chin up, refine your approach, and tackle this challenge with the confidence of someone who knows their worth. #jobseekers #recruitment #opentonetwork

Don’t apply for jobs without sending this message to recruiters! Most candidates simply forward their resumes to recruiters or hiring managers without any context. Big mistake. This approach often gets overlooked. To stand out, always add a personalised message or email alongside your resume. Here’s how you can do it: 📧 Email Template: Hi [Recruiter’s Name], I hope this message finds you well. My name is [Your Name], and I’m excited to apply for the [Job Title] role at [Company Name] that I saw on your careers page. With my experience in [Your Key Skill/Experience], I believe I can bring real value to your team. Could we schedule a short call to explore how I can contribute to your goals? Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, [Your Name] 💬 LinkedIn Message Template: Hi [Recruiter’s Name], I noticed the opening for [Job Title] at [Company Name] and wanted to reach out directly. Your company’s work in [Specific Area/Project] truly inspires me, and I’m confident my expertise in [Your Key Skill/Experience] aligns well with this role. Could we connect to discuss how I might add value to your team? Looking forward to your response. Warm regards, [Your Name] Found this useful? I've been looking through many of your profiles lately and noticed a common challenge: aligning your current job titles and responsibilities with the roles you're aiming for. Why customize your CV? Imagine you're a support line manager in customer care. While your experience is valuable, simply listing your job title and duties might not capture the attention of hiring managers if you're applying for a role like Customer Success Manager. 🔑 Here's the trick: your resume needs to tell a compelling story about how your past experiences are relevant and ideally suited for your desired role. It's not just about tweaking job titles; it's about highlighting the skills and achievements that make you uniquely qualified. Friendly Advice on How to Adapt Your Resume: • Understand the job description: Take the time to digest what the employer is looking for. What skills are highlighted? What experiences do they value? • Connect your experience: Think about how your previous work directly relates to these points. Your chance to draw clear lines between what you've done and what you want to do. • Use the right keywords: Sprinkle your resume with key terms from the job description. This helps pass automated screening tools and shows that you speak their language. • Showcase your impact: Don't just list what you did; highlight what you achieved. How did your actions benefit your previous employers? How This Helps You Shine: Tailoring your resume this way increases your chances of getting an interview and shows prospective employers that you're thoughtful and dedicated — a candidate who cares about how they can contribute to the company. 🔑 need help polishing your resume or prepping for an interview? I'm here to help guide you so you can confidently land that job you're dreaming about! ~~~ These insights could also benefit your friends and colleagues who might not yet be following my channel. I'd greatly appreciate if you'd share this with them. "Standing out in today's job market isn't easy!" I had an interesting chat with a candidate recently who shared their struggle with making their application shine. In a sea of tech talent, it can indeed feel daunting. To anyone feeling the same, here are some tips to help you make an impact: 📄 Tailor your CV and cover letter for every application. Highlight the skills and experiences that are most relevant to the job. This shows you've put in the effort and makes it clear why you're a great fit for the role. 🖥️ Build a strong online presence. Make sure your LinkedIn profile is up-to-date and reflects your latest projects and accomplishments. Share content related to your industry to position yourself as a thought leader. 🗣️ Network actively. Connect with industry professionals, attend events, and engage in online communities. Sometimes, it's not what you know but who you know that opens up opportunities. 🎨 If you have a portfolio or examples of the work you've done, share it. An impressive portfolio can be a game-changer and greatly enhance your application. Remember, the little details matter. Taking these extra steps can differentiate you from the many applications hiring managers see daily.
