Don’t apply for jobs without sending this message to recruiters! Most candidates simply forward their resumes to recruiters or hiring managers without any context. Big mistake. This approach often gets overlooked. To stand out, always add a personalised message or email alongside your resume. Here’s how you can do it: 📧 Email Template: Hi [Recruiter’s Name], I hope this message finds you well. My name is [Your Name], and I’m excited to apply for the [Job Title] role at [Company Name] that I saw on your careers page. With my experience in [Your Key Skill/Experience], I believe I can bring real value to your team. Could we schedule a short call to explore how I can contribute to your goals? Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, [Your Name] 💬 LinkedIn Message Template: Hi [Recruiter’s Name], I noticed the opening for [Job Title] at [Company Name] and wanted to reach out directly. Your company’s work in [Specific Area/Project] truly inspires me, and I’m confident my expertise in [Your Key Skill/Experience] aligns well with this role. Could we connect to discuss how I might add value to your team? Looking forward to your response. Warm regards, [Your Name] Found this useful? I've been looking through many of your profiles lately and noticed a common challenge: aligning your current job titles and responsibilities with the roles you're aiming for. Why customize your CV? Imagine you're a support line manager in customer care. While your experience is valuable, simply listing your job title and duties might not capture the attention of hiring managers if you're applying for a role like Customer Success Manager. 🔑 Here's the trick: your resume needs to tell a compelling story about how your past experiences are relevant and ideally suited for your desired role. It's not just about tweaking job titles; it's about highlighting the skills and achievements that make you uniquely qualified. Friendly Advice on How to Adapt Your Resume: • Understand the job description: Take the time to digest what the employer is looking for. What skills are highlighted? What experiences do they value? • Connect your experience: Think about how your previous work directly relates to these points. Your chance to draw clear lines between what you've done and what you want to do. • Use the right keywords: Sprinkle your resume with key terms from the job description. This helps pass automated screening tools and shows that you speak their language. • Showcase your impact: Don't just list what you did; highlight what you achieved. How did your actions benefit your previous employers? How This Helps You Shine: Tailoring your resume this way increases your chances of getting an interview and shows prospective employers that you're thoughtful and dedicated — a candidate who cares about how they can contribute to the company. 🔑 need help polishing your resume or prepping for an interview? I'm here to help guide you so you can confidently land that job you're dreaming about! ~~~ These insights could also benefit your friends and colleagues who might not yet be following my channel. I'd greatly appreciate if you'd share this with them. Yeah! I have applied to 100+ jobs over the weekend ‼ ‼ 💬 Recruiters often get responses like: "Never heard about your company before." "May I know what company this is?" "What kind of product/service do you provide?" "Your location is too far from my house, I prefer remote." "I don't have experience that could fit into your expectations." We’ve all been there, sending out numerous job applications and hoping for a positive response. But is this really effective? Recently, I’ve noticed many candidates applying for various roles without fully understanding what they’re applying for. Unfortunately, this approach often leads to missed opportunities. Why It Doesn’t Work: 🚫 Lack of focus: Applying to many jobs with a generic approach can make you blend in rather than stand out. 🚫 Mismatched roles: You may end up in a position that doesn’t fit your skills or career aspirations, which can lead to dissatisfaction. 🚫 Overlooked potential: Failing to customize your application means you miss the chance to showcase your unique strengths. A Better Approach: ✔ Research: Take the time to research the company, its values, and the specific requirements of the role. ✔ Tailor your application: Customize your resume and cover letter to highlight how your skills and experiences match the job description. ✔ Quality over quantity: Focus on quality applications tailored to roles that genuinely interest you and match your career goals. ✔ Engage proactively: Reach out to network contacts or current employees to gain insights and demonstrate your enthusiasm for the role. ✅ Pro Tip: Investing time in research and crafting targeted applications can significantly increase your chances of securing a position that not only fits but also advances your career. Not assuming you to know exactly what the job scopes would be, but at least take the effort to understand about the company. Let’s focus on quality applications that make a real impact. Your ideal job opportunity could be just around the corner! 📢 Check out our latest hiring here: https://lnkd.in/gsAn75Fc #jobsearch #careertips #qualityapplications #careergrowth #jobhunting #malaysiajobs #jobvacancy #hiringnow

90% of people do nothing "before" and "after" submitting a job application. Taking the right steps at each stage can set you apart and boost your chances of getting noticed! Before You Apply ↳ Research the company culture, recent projects, and key players in the organization. ↳ Tailor your resume and cover letter to highlight skills and experience that match the job. ↳ Optimize for ATS by using relevant keywords and ensuring your resume is clean and scannable. ↳ Connect with hiring managers or team members on LinkedIn to express interest and build rapport. After You Apply ↳ Send a follow-up message a week later to reinforce your enthusiasm and qualifications. ↳ Engage with the company’s social media channels, demonstrating your interest. ↳ Reach out to industry contacts who can offer insights or referrals. ↳ Reflect on the application process to fine-tune your approach for future opportunities. By blending preparation with proactive follow-up, you’ll: • Present yourself as an engaged, strategic candidate. • Increase your chances of landing your next role by tapping into hidden opportunities. • Build valuable connections that could open doors to unadvertised positions. I see countless posts daily about people who have been applying for jobs endlessly, sometimes for months or longer, and getting nowhere 😫 Job roles are being applied to in huge numbers currently and even if you are perfect for a role, it doesn't guarantee you'll get an interview as they may never even get to your application. With this in mind, I have put together my latest blog on securing a role without applying digitally. This is the first course of action I suggest to anyone 🎯 Need my help, you know what to do 👉 DM, email, visit my website, book a 1-hour blitz or call - all contact details are on my profile page. https://lnkd.in/eyX6qAE9 #careers #jobsearch #interviews #success

Why Timing Is Critical in Job Applications As a career consultant, I always emphasize this to my clients, apply as soon as a job is posted. It might sound simple, but it can make a world of difference. Here’s why: 1 Recruiters work fast. Most hiring teams review applications as they come in. Being among the first to apply means your profile could get noticed before the pile grows too large. 2 Technology matters. Applicant tracking systems (ATS) often prioritize earlier applications. Submitting promptly might give you an edge in getting past the filters. 3 It shows eagerness. Applying early demonstrates your interest and proactivity qualities every employer values. 4 Opportunities can vanish quickly. Some postings close early once they receive enough qualified applicants. Delaying could cost you the chance to even be considered. Be prepared. Keep your resume updated and ready to tailor so you can move quickly without sacrificing quality. Remember, timing isn’t just important—it’s often the difference between getting noticed and getting overlooked. What’s your experience with this?
