Reflections on a Game-Changing day in Gothenburg ✨ This past Monday, I had the pleasure of representing SASHA - Safe Share at Nordref's Game Changer Conference. Being invited to speak about our work was a true honor, especially alongside such insightful and experienced individuals. Key discussions included: - The underlying factors driving online abuse and gender-based violence - Profiling online perpetrators: Who are they? What drives their behavior? - Gamification as a tool to guide youth toward safer digital habits - If children ruled the internet: respect, safety, and accountability take center stage 🌟 What made this day even more special was how it brought things full circle for me. Just 1.5 years ago, I met Thordis Elva for the first time, presenting what was merely a good idea and proof of concept. What stuck with me was her genuine interest and investment in our vision. It’s thanks to believers like her that we've come this far—not just in advancing our technology, but in pushing toward a safer, more inclusive internet for all. I felt incredibly privileged to share the technical progress we've made. It's so easy to lose sight of milestones when being in our small startup bubble always focusing on ‘what’s next’. Last week, I posted about the launch of Project Nemo.   The idea for Project Nemo was borne out of one person using their influence and generating a lot of word of mouth with it.   Working on Project Nemo, amongst other things this year, has got me thinking about just how important our voices, and our connection to our communities are. Not just in doing good, but in making good money.   I am and have always been passionate about equality. Equitable relationships, built on trust and credibility, creating communities. Over the past few years this has manifested as me exploring my own voice (a journey I would LOVE to share with anyone who is interested…especially women or people of colour on that exploration themselves!)…maybe that’s another reason I got disillusioned with FinTech, but that’s a pontification for another time…   My next chapter is about how you leverage voice and community to drive better business outcomes. What it's not - becoming a LinkedIn influencer. Matters of #environmental responsibility and management are not meant to be learned only while "old." Breaking down the language of big tables, and mind boglling seminars to a format understandable by kids is even a more sustainable option to bridging the gap of inequity in #ClimateAction How do we include the younger generations in environmental matters arising today? How do we ensure that generations unborn are not victims of prior mismanagement and current poor stewardship of #earth in general and #nature in particular? How de we succeed in transferring #sustainability inclined mental material to the younger generations in a way that they easily grasp the concepts of sustainability thus inspiring them unto eco-friendly ways of life? How do we go about ensuring that these upcoming generations do not fail the earth in the same areas that older and current generations have? How do we inculcate a sense of #environmentalresponsibility , #environmentalawareness and #environmentalprotection in the younger generations, such that they birth #sustainabledevelopment proning ventures, #environmentallyfriendly businesses and business processes, and strong strategic alliances (#sdg16) to serve the existing problems and prevent an exaggeration of those existing? How do we proceed to inspire younger generations to take up action to #savetheplanet even as kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools?
