Friends and extended family advised against it, urging me to wait, to gain more stability, and to play it safe. The most challenging part? Convincing myself to push forward despite these voices. But here's the twist: My immediate family had my back, unwaveringly. They believed in my vision and potential, even when others didn't. Their support became my foundation, my driving force. I look around the room, and all I see is hope for a better future. I see the courage to be seen and heard, humans engaging in meaningful conversations, and community building right in front of my eyes. Every Tuesday morning is different, yet it feels so familiar. It is an honor to be able to offer a space where entrepreneurs, small business owners, startups, founders, investors, students—everyone—is welcome. As a business owner and entrepreneur for the past 23 years, I understand the importance of community. It's crucial to have a space where you feel welcomed, where you can bounce ideas off with like minded people, support each other, and to share things in common. How a Simple Conversation Sparked a Revolutionary Project 🌟 Not long ago, someone asked me why I’m so driven to create change in our community. My answer was clear: “We are the change because we are the future generation.” He then challenged me with a powerful question: “Do you really believe we can change the world?” I responded with conviction: “Yes, because we are already changemakers. Every action we take impacts the world—positively or negatively.” Curious, he asked, “What should I do?” I suggested, “Let’s unite and drive change through social entrepreneurship.” That conversation led him to brainstorm and ultimately launch “Waste Warriors.”With just a little guidance, his project became the second-best in my on-campus program Hult Prize Foundation . This experience confirmed my belief that everyone has hidden potential waiting to be unlocked. Often, all it takes is a spark, a moment of inspiration, or a bit of support to ignite that potential. If you’re passionate about making a difference, remember that every step you take counts. Whether through social entrepreneurship, environmental initiatives, or community service, your actions can create a ripple effect of positive change.
