GSG Impact, our new name and brand, announced today, is a reinforcement of that vision. Our name also reflects that our work goes far beyond impact investing. As Growth Gateway enters its 5th year, we reflect on an impactful 2024, continuing to unlock green and inclusive growth in LICs/MICs through mobilising trade and investment across Africa and Asia. Through tailored support and expert advice, Gateway has supported businesses and governments - positioning the UK as a key enabler for trade and investment, while driving greater development impact, across LICs/MICs. Key highlights of 2024: 🔹 Enabled £200M+ of trade and investment deals since inception with a further £1B+ in commercial pipeline 🔹 Supported an additional 14 interventions in various sectors such as critical minerals, clean energy, climate adaptation & resilience, financial services, among others 🔹 Engaged and supported 400+ businesses In 2025, Growth Gateway will build on its successes by accelerating high-value deals, strengthening partnerships aligned with emerging FCDO priorities, and pursuing opportunities to catalyse job creation for women and marginalised groups. It will prioritise trade and investment in sectors where the UK can deliver unique expertise and value. Today, at the 7th Brazil Investment Forum, business and government leaders gathered to discuss the future of investment in Brazil, with a focus on the green economy and new industrialization. During the morning, strategic partnerships and more than 54 billion reais in new investments for the country were announced, aimed at stimulating the economy, strengthening competitiveness and promoting a more sustainable Brazil on the global stage. The afternoon program included panels on energy transition, industrial innovation and food security, highlighting business opportunities with a sustainable and social impact. The event also included the Meeting of Investment Promotion Agencies from Latin America and G20 countries, strengthening regional cooperation to attract investment in sustainable infrastructure. I’m proud to share our latest Sustainable Development Impact Disclosure (SDID), developed in partnership with the Impact Disclosure Taskforce, J.P. Morgan and Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking. The expansion of our SDID to include Brazil, Senegal and South Africa demonstrates our dedication to strengthening trade resilience globally and driving positive social impacts in the communities where we operate. It also reinforces our commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and addressing development challenges in key economies. As the first organisation to launch an SDID earlier this year, reporting on our impact made in India and Somaliland, this report extends in scope to include Brazil, Senegal and South Africa. We aim to influence industry standards for transparency and accountability.
