At Impala Terminals being a part of the communities in which we operate is important. We take pride in supporting local causes that are often close to the hearts of our team members. So when 11-year-old Quinn Cattermole was diagnosed with the rare disease pulmonary hypertension at the start of 2024, friends, family and the local community, including the local Impala team, jumped into action with a programme of activities to raise funds for PHA UK – the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people affected by the condition. This included a “Spin for Quinn” charity bike ride between nine castles in South Wales, which raised £9,000 and which was match funded by Impala to increase the sum raised to a total £18,000. The money will be used to help the charity continue its support of the PH community by producing information and resources; reducing isolation via networks, forums, and events; funding cutting-edge research; supporting and protecting specialist care; raising awareness, educating, and encouraging understanding of PH, and advocating for patient needs.
