🌟 Engaging with Our Community for a Brighter Future 🌟 At the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology (NCST), we believe in empowering students and their families to make informed decisions about their futures. Over the past two months, we proudly hosted 38 government schools, introducing their students to our cutting-edge programs and state-of-the-art facilities. Following these on-campus visits, we took our engagement a step further by hosting a virtual meeting for Grade 9 guardians from the public schools. This session was designed to: ✅ Provide insights into our innovative technical programs and education level. ✅ Help students explore and select the right career pathways. ✅ Highlight how NCST is leading the way in technical education across the region. At NCST, students can choose from three specialised study tracks tailored to future industry demands: - Engineering Track – Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (General and Advanced Programs) - Technology Innovation Track – Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity - Sports and Business Track – Designed for Football Professionals Our commitment to delivering high-quality education and preparing students for the demands of the future is at the core of everything we do. Through these personalized engagements, we ensure families have the information they need to plan for a successful academic and professional journey. 🎉 Celebrating the First Cohort of Queen’s Engineering Bridge Pathway Students! ONCAT joins Queen’s University in celebrating the inaugural cohort of students in the Smith Engineering Bridge pathway, who have successfully transitioned from a diploma to a degree program and joined their peers in the Smith Engineering Faculty. The bridging pathway is a route for graduates of an advanced diploma in Engineering Technology to transfer into an upper year of the degree program offered by Stephen J. R. Smith Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen's University. This pathway is a faster and more cost-effective route to becoming a professional engineer in Ontario, in comparison to completing a standalone degree after college. The development of the Smith Engineering Bridge pathway was funded by ONCAT and showcases the university’s commitment to enhancing opportunities for skills development, education-to-employment pathways, and inclusivity in competitive industries and programs. In the opening remarks by Afifah Darke in the QS World Ranking Report says: "The world of education is a complex web of individual aspirations and global forces." Yes, it is so true. While a student’s choice of university course is often driven by personal interests and career goals, government policies, initiatives, and global events can also play a significant role in shaping these decisions. #QSSurvey #QSrankings #highereducation #engineering #masters #abroadeducation #universities #colleges #government #policies

“For the sake of a secure national economy, a strong research workforce, and an innovative scientific enterprise that serves everyone, our HBCUs need dynamic research programs that offer graduate degrees and set students up for leadership roles. We can’t afford to leave talent on the table,” said Joyce T. Shirazi, dean of the School of Engineering, Architecture and Aviation at Hampton University, an HBCU, and co-chair of the first annual HBCU Engineering Deans Summit held at the University of Michigan over the summer. The summit brought together HBCU and R1 engineering schools to discuss ways to work together to expand research programs at HBCUs, identifying four key steps to make an impact: understand, align, partner, and sustain. “We’ve come up with real, actionable steps that we believe can benefit everyone," said Lola Eniola-Adefeso, PhD, FAHA, FAIMBE, FBMES, FCRS,NAI, co-chair of the Summit as Michigan Engineering’s associate dean for graduate and professional education.
