Yesterday we saw again what benefit a neutral third party trust provider like the Urban Tech Helsinki Incubator can bring to the table. Well one of them at least. We had and incredibly open and fruitful event where the incubator startups met with our stakeholders from Business Helsinki Helsingin kaupunki – Helsingfors stad – City of Helsinki, University of Helsinki, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Aalto University. They sat on the same side of the table and discussed how the startups could help the stakeholders and how to improve their solutions to match the needs of cities and other customers. I believe some of the startups took good strides forward in a short time. Lesson learned. Sit together and discuss openly. Be on the same side - at least in principle. We are all trying to make good. Qualifying businesses may receive grants up to $35,000, which are disbursed on a 2:1 reimbursement basis (grantee spends $2, then gets reimbursed $1). 🇵🇱 Next week, we will join Dealroom.co and partners EU-Startups, Dealflow.eu, and Polski Fundusz Rozwoju S.A. (PFR) in Warsaw for the third event of the #InnovationRadarBridge project: EU x VC: Accelerating European Innovation. This event will convene investors, LPs, policymakers, and ecosystem builders to discuss strategies for enhancing entrepreneurship and innovation in Europe, as well as the role of European institutions in this process.
