Once again, Impossible Foods makes a smart move! 🦁 🍗
It recently underwent a rebranding effort to enhance its identity and appeal (from green to red), positioning itself more like a meat company, saying "hello" not only to vegetarians but also flexitarians and meat lovers.
Following this, they partnered with Joey Chestnut, a competitive eater known for his record-breaking performances, particularly in the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. Joey still eats a pile of hot dogs but now advocates for a more balanced diet, where he can still have meat flavor dishes with a lighter experience (aka plant-based).
And now, Impossible Foods partners with Lion King and The Walt Disney Company, offering lion-shaped chicken nuggets and focusing on young customers, which can be a VERY smart move, considering their LTV.
Despite the recent marketing changes, the company remains unprofitable, and I particularly hope they can achieve that threshold since they are the leading brand in the plant-based meat sector. While Beyond Meat, their main competitor and a public company faces significant losses (-86% of market value in the last 3 years).
Impossible Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets from plants are now available in the wild. (aka your favorite store’s freezer section.) 🐾🦁
