This year’s hackathon will take place across 51 centers nationwide, showcasing the innovative spirit and technical prowess of India's youth. The Smart India Hackathon is an initiative designed to provide a platform for students to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges. For its seventh edition, over 1,300 student teams have entered the grand finale, presenting their projects based on a wide array of problem statements issued by government ministries, departments, and industries. These participants will work on solutions under 17 themes tied to critical national sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, sustainability, disaster management, emerging technologies, and more. The hackathon will feature two editions: the Software Edition, which will run continuously for 36 hours, and the Hardware Edition, which will span from Wednesday to Sunday. These editions will see students working relentlessly on challenges posed by various sectors of national importance. This format ensures that participants not only push the boundaries of technology but also create scalable solutions that can address pressing issues in sectors vital to India’s growth. At 4:30 PM on Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi will address the gathering of participants through videoconferencing, offering encouragement and insights. His interaction will not only serve as an inspiration to the teams but also highlight the government's commitment to fostering innovation and nurturing the next generation of problem solvers. The themes of the hackathon are vast, covering fields such as smart technologies, supply chain management, heritage and culture preservation, and water conservation. The hackathon continues to evolve as a key tool in bridging the gap between technology and national development. As the event progresses, the PM’s involvement signals a broader recognition of the significance of such initiatives, reinforcing the vision of a digitally empowered and innovative India. The Smart India Hackathon 2024 stands as a testament to the immense potential of India's youth in contributing to solving complex national challenges through creativity and collaboration. #SmartIndiaHackathon #PMModi #Innovation #Technology #DigitalIndia #NationalDevelopment #Hackathon2024 #YouthEmpowerment #IndianYouth #SmartTechnologies #Sustainability #EmergingTechnologies #HealthcareInnovation #DisasterManagement #SupplyChain #TechForGood #AI #Education #WaterConservation #DigitalSolutions Narendra Modi Amit Shah Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Jitendrasingh Offical Government of India (GoI) MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA Department of Science & Technology, Government of India Indian national Congress Tata Group Infosys Microsoft India Sundar Pichai
