Last day at American Society for Reproductive Medicine - ASRM 2024 👋 Yesterday Brieuc Popper presented ImVitro's research, highlighting how traditional #AI metrics like AUC correlate with clinically relevant outcomes, such as time to pregnancy, bringing AI models closer to clinical application. Thank you to everyone who attended our talk, and thank you to the organisers for such a great #ASRM2024!

This study from grace younes and colleagues at Lady Davis Carmel Medical center evaluated the impact of BMI on embryo quality and found that elevated BMI can influence several morphokinetic parameters of embryos. Overall, their results show morphokinetic parameters and embryo quality, as evaluated by time-lapse monitoring, appear unaffected by maternal weight, even in extreme BMI subgroups. The slight differences observed in obese women do not seem to have clinical significance, as they did not impact implantation or pregnancy rates. 🔹 New Focus on Reproduction article online 🔹 The Dutch multicenter randomised "Three or Five" (ToF) trial found that while transferring blastocyst on day 5 leads to higher live birth rates in fresh transfers and lower pregnancy loss rates than cleavage-stage transfers, cumulative live birth rates were similar, and the blastocyst approach showed increased risk of moderate preterm birth, emphasising the need for individualised, shared decision-making. 👶 Optimizing Pregnancy Outcomes in Reproductive Medicine As reproductive endocrinologists, our goal is not just to help patients achieve pregnancy—it’s to ensure they experience a healthy pregnancy and a safe delivery. Ultimately, every parent deserves the joy of holding a healthy baby in their arms. One approach to reducing pregnancy complications is frozen embryo transfer (FET) in natural cycles, where the endogenous corpus luteum plays a crucial role in supporting early pregnancy. This method may help create a more physiologic environment, improving outcomes for both mother and baby. I explore this topic in more detail in my latest article. "Empowering parents with knowledge for a healthier future." Prenatal testing involves various procedures that help assess the health of a fetus during pregnancy. Prenatal testing is important for several reasons: Early Detection of Conditions: It helps identify genetic or developmental conditions early, allowing parents to prepare emotionally and practically for any potential challenges. Informed Decision-Making: The results can guide parents in making informed choices about their pregnancy, including options for further testing, care, and interventions. Healthcare Planning: If a potential issue is detected, healthcare providers can develop a tailored plan for monitoring and management during pregnancy and after birth. Peace of Mind: For many parents, screening can reduce anxiety by providing reassurance about the health of their baby. Risk Assessment: Prenatal testing can help assess risks for conditions that may not be apparent at birth, enabling proactive healthcare strategies. Family Planning: Results can inform future family planning decisions and options for reproductive health.
