The custodians of rich cultural and linguistic diversity have safeguarded our planet's natural environments for generations. Yet, they face immense challenges, particularly those living in voluntary isolation and initial contact, who protect vital ecosystems but are vulnerable to external threats. As an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion consultancy, we believe in the power of inclusion and understanding to build a more equitable world. This year's focus on ''𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗜𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁' reminds us of the importance of respecting and upholding the rights of these communities. We recognise the need to support their autonomy, protect their lands, and celebrate their unique cultural identities. In a world striving for sustainability, Indigenous wisdom is more critical than ever! Let us amplify their voices and ensure their rights are respected and preserved for future generations. At In Diverse Company, we are committed to promoting inclusive behaviours through our work. Here is a short video from one of our learning programmes about the San People of the Kalahari, showcasing their unique cultural heritage and connection to the land – to show how inclusion is innate to Indigenous people. https://lnkd.in/dnbmMeVU 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱.

Celebrating the UAE’s 53rd National Day 🇦🇪 As the UAE celebrates its 53rd National Day, I can’t help but reflect on my own journey in this incredible country. Having lived here for over 20 years—from my childhood to becoming a full-time professional—it’s amazing to see how much this nation has grown and transformed. One area where the UAE truly stands out is its logistics and trade sector. It’s remarkable to see how the country has become a global hub, connecting businesses and people across continents. Working at Top Ranked Shipping, a leading freight forwarding company, has given me a front-row seat to this transformation. The UAE’s investment in world-class infrastructure, ports, free zones, and cutting-edge technology has taken the logistics industry to new heights. For me, the UAE isn’t just where I live—it’s home. It’s where I’ve learnt the value of hard work, resilience, and community. I’m proud to be part of this nation’s story and contribute in my small way to its ongoing success. Here’s to the UAE—a country that continues to inspire and bring out the best in all of us. Happy 53rd National Day to everyone who calls this amazing place home! #UAENationalDay #UAE53 #TopRankedShipping #LogisticsHub #ProudResident #Gratitude #GrowthAndOpportunity

Please join us in celebrating Arab American Heritage Month! We invite you to embrace Arab American Heritage at your organization and find different ways to celebrate with your staff. Here are a few suggestions: 1. Cater a celebration lunch for your staff with a few different dishes from local Arab-owned restaurants. Have a presentation or a topic to foster learning and discussion during the lunch. 2. Send out weekly emails highlighting one or two contributions or important cultural and historical impacts of Arab Americans. Include a list of recommended books by Arab American authors that coincide with the email highlight. 3. Send out a list of local Arab American cultural events and encourage your staff to attend. Then ask them to share something they learned. 4. Highlight your Arab American staff members through short biographies that include some of their specific contributions to the organization and things they wish to share about their family, history, and culture. These are just a few of the many ways you can celebrate Arab American Heritage Month at your organization to help inspire learning and discussion, and to promote inclusion within your team.

FIRST NATIONS AUSTRALIANS! As a proud First Nations Pacifika Australian, born under a coconut tree, on an island in the blue Pacific, of Papuan, Malay, Irish and English/Australian parentage, living in villages, on canoes and on boats, as a hybrid Aussie; I must assert and re-assert that I am a "First Nation Australian"! There are tens of thousands of Australians like me. We do not get "identified" or noted on application forms, or mentioned; but, we are First Nations; meaning our ancestors were here before the "whiteman" came to our shores. We have communities, folklore, tribal legends, cultures and tribal structures of land and people, in this region of the globe with identities and narratives that go back thousands (not hundreds) of years. Australians of all ethnicities must respect this fact. It is time our myopic, monocultural minded policy makers in politics and government looked above their desktop computers and cafe lattes and realised that Australia is a multicultural society in reality; and there are many, many different cultural backgrounds here that call themselves "First Nations Pacifika" Australians! Wake UP Australia!

Asians, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders and Native Hawaiians have a rich history and cultural heritage that is often ignored in the U.S. Unfortunately, when stories are retold about AANHPI communities and experiences, they tend to center on hardship and exclusion. Parks and monuments must reflect the U.S.’ diversity and chronicle the past more honestly and inclusively—including the achievements of AANHPI people. Public lands should also address the ongoing impacts of colonization, dispossession and cultural erasure on these communities (and distinguish between and among different cultures). Here are some of the parks and historic sites that preserve and share the stories of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander people and communities in this country.
Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander history is alive in these 10 parks and other sites

As we approach Eidul-Fitri, a time of celebration after a month of fasting The celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr varies across nations due to the sighting of the Shawwal moon ( crescent moon ) which for Perth WA we should observe tonight, causing differences in the dates of observance. it's important to reflect on the challenges we've faced this year. In the midst of conflicts and turmoil, it can be disheartening to witness the lack of compassion and empathy displayed by some. However, let us remember the values instilled by our different faiths, but where we all have aligned core beliefs to encourage kindness, respect, and understanding towards others. In regions blessed with peace, let us appreciate the tranquility we've enjoyed and strive to uphold these values in our communities. Our religions, cultures, and traditions serve as guiding lights, shaping our societal values and fostering unity and harmony. As people come together to celebrate Eid Mubarak, let us hold onto these principles and spread love and goodwill to all. Wishing you a joyous celebration and a happy holiday filled with peace and blessings. Jon x x
