ADNOC Group, G42 and Presight announce new #AIQ ownership structure.   Presight will be acquiring 51% of AIQ, establishing its valuation to over $1.4 billion, while ADNOC Group will retain its 49% share in a strategic partnership and receive 4% of Presight shares from G42. On the opening day of ADIPEC 2024, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Group managing director and group CEO, emphasized the critical need for industry leaders to come together and support era-defining breakthroughs such as AI. ADNOC Group has launched its first autonomous AI solution, EnergyAI, as part of a collaboration with state-owned AI firm G42, Microsoft, and AIQ — a joint venture between ADNOC and G42 — according to CEO Sultan Al Jaber at the #ADIPEC conference. The cutting-edge AI agent is designed to operate autonomously, significantly improving the speed and accuracy of key operations in the energy sector. EnergyAI will accelerate seismic surveys, a critical task for resource exploration, reducing the time needed from months to mere days. Furthermore, it is expected to enhance production forecast accuracy by up to 90%, marking a substantial advancement in the use of AI in the energy industry. This initiative is part of a broader push by the UAE government to integrate AI technologies across sectors. AI agents—such as the ones being developed by Microsoft and G42—are sophisticated systems that can autonomously handle complex tasks like supply chain management and employee onboarding. According to #UAE officials, this is just the beginning, with more AI-driven projects to be unveiled as the country aims to attract investments to support AI integration into its energy grid.
