Thanks for the opportunity to share some insights about what is happening with MBAs Megan Breen. A lot has certainly changed since I did mine a couple of decades ago. It's critical that we're developing leaders who can can be agile in responding to complex challenges with attentiveness to all key stakeholders and the planet. #mba #sustainabledevelopment #esg
I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr Judy Lundy from Edith Cowan University and Marcus Gittins from Melbourne Business School for the The Australian Financial Review's Executive Education Report recently. It's encouraging to see how MBA programs across Australia are evolving to include environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics, advancements in AI, and initiatives to enhance opportunities for historically marginalised groups - it's crucial for creating equitable opportunities and addressing systemic inequalities. #MBA #Education #ESG #AI #EdTech #Inclusion #Diversity #HigherEd #Sustainability #FutureOfWork

During my time in the Monash Innovation Guarantee, I had the privilege to discover the many ways which innovation can relate to my academic journey alongside a diverse body of fellow innovators. As a result, a concept which really stood out to me was interdisciplinary collaboration. As many of us do, I once withheld the belief that a problem is best solved by individuals with specific expertise in a relevant field. However, I have now come to recognise the incredible value of bringing together multiple backgrounds of expertise to help solve a problem more effectively. Furthermore, it is often only by curating a team consisting of diverse disciplinary and personal backgrounds that assumptions are tested, and more creative ideas are generated. For instance, within my innovation challenge in collaboration with industry partners AiLECS Lab, a Research Centre of Monash University and the Australian Federal Police, my incredible team consisted of many diverse individuals, from fields such as law, criminology, commerce, political sciences, health sciences and more. Ultimately, by looking at our industry challenge from the different lenses provided by our diverse skill sets, our unique insights in marketing, critical thinking, human-centred design and communicative skills helped each other overcome roadblocks when discovering how to increase engagement with the My Pictures Matter campaign. Looking ahead at my future path as an innovator, interdisciplinary collaboration is definitely something I will strive to incorporate into my academic future, particularly when it comes to diversifying the way I approach problem solving. Overall, #MIG2024 has reshaped my view of innovation from being a highly scientific process, to an exciting challenge which is reliant on multiple disciplinary ideologies coming together. Ultimately, by working alongside a diverse team, this can lead to incredible and vital solutions to some of our world's greatest issues.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 Yesterday marked World Creativity and Innovation Day, a day that encapsulates the vision of YIBS. In an age where technology continues to shape the landscape of development, it's imperative to move in tandem with these trends, equipping the younger generation with the ability to be independently creative and to identify solutions to the many challenges we face in our society. YIBS, in its vision, has placed paramount importance on empowering its students across all fields to be more curious, creative, and innovative. Just last year, through the Groove Tech Initiative, we showcased some of the prior innovative solutions developed by our students. These solutions were highly appreciated by the government and the community and are now in the production phase. This serves as the norm here at YIBS. Each year, our students are exposed to the world's reality, engaging in seminars and workshops that transform their thoughts, enabling them to see a larger scope and break away from low-minded and limited ideas toward more creative and challenging ones with open minds. Among our core initiatives is the drive to empower young girls in the tech world, bridging societal gaps. Cameroon has faced, and still faces, many challenges in embracing technology. However, how can we talk about development and creativity without considering technology? With YIBS, we have hope, and we are moving toward a brighter and more engaging age where creativity will be backed by boldness, creativity, and innovation. Happy New Week! #YIBS #developinginnovativeprofessionals #creativemindset #innovationbasedoncreativity #developingleadersoftomorrow

Grounding education in real-world challenges not only enhances learning—it makes the process more engaging and enjoyable. According to the World Economic Forum's education report, when students apply their learning to tangible problems, they're not just developing one skill but are simultaneously honing a suite of competencies crucial for real-life applications and continuous education. This approach to education—viewing it through the lens of practical application and interactivity—promotes a more holistic learning experience that teaches skills and values in concert with one another, preparing students for the complexities of the modern world. We aim for that approach in our program, and in our consultancy track, with the support of amazing corporations, NGO's, B-corps, and our esteemed Advisory Board Members, like Akihiko Katayama Lâle Kesebi Rafael Frias 傅遠山 and more. The conversation around academia and industry collaboration is more important than ever. Ehmad Zubair shared a candid perspective from the industry, pointing out a critical gap: while industries seek skilled and adaptable professionals, academia often falls short in preparing graduates for real-world demands. This feedback isn’t about assigning blame—it’s about creating opportunities for growth. By working together, academia and industry can align educational outcomes with professional realities, bridging the gap and building a workforce ready to tackle future challenges. https://lnkd.in/enuAQybk

Innovation isn't just a buzzword—it's the lifeblood of progress. Recently, I had an inspiring conversation with Pradorn Sureephong or Ajarn Dorn, Vice Director of the College of Arts, Media and Technology of Chiang Mai University. We delved into the future of innovation, and what I discovered left me exhilarated. Chiang Mai University's Innovation Village is more than a physical space—it's a mindset. By bridging the public and private sectors, it has become a fertile ground for students and startups alike. During our discussion, Ajarn Dorn emphasized the need to weave soft skills into academic curricula. Communication, creative thinking, and adaptability—these are the skills that fuel innovation. But integrating them isn't always straightforward. It requires a willingness to embrace trial and error, to learn from setbacks, and to celebrate breakthroughs. Leaders like Ajarn Dorn are shaping the future. They're not just talking about innovation; they're living it. As we prepare the next generation for the workplace, we must equip them with these essential skills. Personally, I'm thrilled at the prospect of contributing to the initiatives that empower young minds to thrive in a dynamic world. What skills do you believe are vital for fostering innovation? #InnovationMatters #ContinuousImprovement #CreativeThinking

As current Dean of the IMD EMBA, I’m proud to see our program ranked #17 globally, #7 in Europe, and #1 in Switzerland in the Financial Times EMBA 2024 rankings. At IMD, we’re committed to continuous improvement, and we listen closely to the voices of our graduates, who challenge us to evolve, innovate, and push boundaries every day. We’re especially proud of the deliberate improvements we’ve made in key areas that matter most to our community: - International Experience (Top 10) and Global Reach – with our expanding global immersion weeks and networks, participants gain a world-class, globally relevant experience; - Career Progress – we’ve strengthened our focus on career development, helping graduates transition into impactful leadership roles worldwide, tailored to the increasingly non-linear career paths of today’s professionals; and - Diversity and Inclusion – with greater representation among faculty and students, we are shaping a more inclusive and innovative learning environment. Ultimately, it’s the feedback from our graduates that drives us to keep improving. It’s not just about where we stand today but where we’re heading—toward supporting the learning journeys of leaders who will make a difference in the world. #RealLearning #RealImpact Ian Rogan Stefan Michel David Bach Stephane Fondement Christian Dummett Diana Ritchie Josefine van Zanten

In most educational establishments, particularly in India and other emerging economies, educators often implement curricula designed by developed nations. However, the socio-political, economic, and cultural environments in these developing regions differ greatly from those in advanced countries. Additionally, as these emerging countries experience rapid development, they necessitate a unique approach tailored to their specific needs. With this in mind, Globsyn Business School collaborated in an International Conference organized by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) on ‘Management Education in Transition in Asian Countries.’ Several faculty members of GBS attended the event and presented their research papers on the conference’s theme. #GlobsynBusinessSchool #InternationalConference #AIMS #ResearchPaper #ManagementEducation #EmergingEconomies #EconomicDevelopment #AmbitionOfTheYoung
