A team that plays together, wins together... In October, the INCOG team took a timeout for some fall festivities. Check out the photos from our annual fishing competition (CFO Doug Dayhoff demonstrated our "All In" principle by getting into the water), and the recent Halloween costume contest (Sara York won scariest and Jordan Muth won best overall). Our team knows how to let loose and have a good time! Interested in joining this fun bunch? Head over to our Career Page for our current openings. And Happy Halloween! https://lnkd.in/dg6dk69n #INCOG #CDMO #Pharma #fun

Relationships. Community. That's what I reflect on in my cameo role in this lovely celebratory film from Seagulls Reuse Ltd. Twenty years ago I worked with Seagulls when it was just an idea - working with them to come up with their first business plan. Then, as now, I think most business plans are a waste of paper. What I believe is important is the quality of the process you go through to come up with a business plan. So then, as now, I worked hard to make the process we went through a creative one, to help them to fully imagine what they could achieve. But let's be honest, none of us could have imagined that they'd still be here twenty years on - having achieved so much, in such creative, inspiring, challenging-the-status-quo ways. And that's why I talked about relationships and community in this short film. Because it's clear with Seagulls, as it is with so many of the best social enterprises out there, that good relationships are at the heart of their success. You can feel that when you walk in to Seagulls and you're greeted by a member of staff. Who most likely was once a volunteer. Who'll probably quite quickly let you know how much they love it there. Except they didn't really need to tell you that - because you'd sensed that already. And you know that when you see how they go about their business. A social enterprise rooted in its city - bringing colour through its redistributed paint, but also through its broader community work - like the countless mosaics that brighten up various corners of Leeds. Give their film a watch. And next time you need some paint, give them a visit. #socialenterprise #leeds #socialinnovation #reuse #community

I wanted to personally endorse Nick Purslow and the Posh Outdoors venture and fundraiser. I have spent significant time scrutinizing this business plan, investment opportunity, and the team executing it. My career niche the past 5 years has been in launching outdoor hospitality projects, and if I ever had 'expertise' in anything, it would be this. I wanted to share my honest assessment with both pros and cons of the opportunity: Pros: 1.) I believe they are offering a compelling solution for a very real capital problem limiting entrepreneurs and developers amidst a growing industry. 2.) I believe in the industry's long term growth fundamentals. The urgent need for people to disconnect and get outside will only increase as will consumers' appetite for unique experiences. 3.) I believe in the team. I have partnered with Nick Purslow on countless projects in outdoor hospitality, and I believe in his ability to execute, problem solve and get the job done. I have also had the opportunity to meet, speak or partner with Kevin O'Brien, Lee Pritchard, Edward Haynes, and their advisor Ben Wolff. I believe the entire team has the right expertise, the needed network, customer funnels, and track record of success necessary to make the company a success. 4.) I was impressed by their first operator partner Christel Postel who spent a day showing me their first site in Kananaskis, Canada near Banff. I think both the property and the market are a home run. It is a stunning property in a highly compelling market. 5.) Once the model proves its profitability at the first few sites, growth will be rapid. 6). For my friends motivated by more than money and returns, I want to support a company that is empowering the growth of an industry that gets more people outside and connecting with nature and thus fostering more environmental stewardship. Concerns: - I believe some of their financial projections are overly optimistic including ADR, occupancy and project volume ramp up. I think they will get there, but it will take more time than some of their forecasts. - Raising a series A investment round in a new and poorly understood sector will be a difficult process. This is the target liquidity event for investors like myself, and I expect it will not be easy and far from a certainty. - The model will require ongoing capital infusions to purchase the units which I expect will be slow going for the first few sites. Every start up venture will have significant risks and challenges, but I believe this team will preserve to create an exceptional and valuable company. That is why I am investing (and not an insignificant amount) and encouraging others to look into the opportunity: https://lnkd.in/gTKrcJc8 If any of our friends in the industry have anything pros or cons to add to my assessment, please feel free to comment. Looking forward to journey Posh Outdoors #tothemoon #getoutside #glamping #outdoorhospitality
It's a pleasure to have my good friend Connor Schwab of Sage Outdoor Advisory join us as an investor at Posh Outdoors. We're grateful to existing industry backers like Connor, Shari Heilala, MAI and Bygnal Dutson, and we encourage others who believe in the outdoor industry to get in touch to learn more about joining us for the ride. Here's Connor explaining why he invested in Posh!

What's it like inside a mascot suit? It's hot. It's sweaty. And most importantly, inspiring. Our dedicated Joey performer Stephanie O'Neil knows this well, performing as our favorite Can-Do Kangaroo at so many of our games, special events, and other community functions. The hugs and high-fives make all of the perspiration worth it. Stephanie and all of our mascot performers are changing lives for the better with every interaction. They bring Joey to life, and as a result, give life to others. Want to learn more about Stephanie? Read her story on our website in this new feature (and thanks to our intern Bryan Miller for authoring a great feature!). https://lnkd.in/gG-CbAGt

This is super smart and super interesting. Because of new rules by Steam around cross promotion, there's now an incentive for publishers to acquire relevant back catalogue titles. From Steam (via GameDiscoverCo): 🗨️"Now developers can control which developer, publisher, or franchise is highlighted below each game’s written description. These controls will let creators specify the set of games to draw from, as well as the sort order for those games, and set one or more of the included games to force to the front of the list.” So the below makes perfect sense. I wonder what other back catalogue deals might be struck based on a similar strategy 🤔
