I first heard about shift attestation a few years back when I was working with a larger client based out of NY. They were managing this process with a clipboard next to their time clock. I don't know about you, but in my time in restaurants and as a manager, anything on a clipboard tended to either get left behind a POS, lost in the walk in, or pretty much walked away, and all that data on the clipboard gone for good. The shift attestation requirement is a tricky one, and difficult one to track and manage without technology automation. My last post discussed employee retention in the manufacturing sector. Sometimes, workers also quit their job when they feel their wok place is not safe place to work at!
