Imagine a future where industrially-relevant chemical processes are cheaper, cleaner, and greener—not because of a breakthrough material but because of a smart twist on an existing one. Dr Falguni S. from IITGN’s Heterogeneous Catalysis Group is achieving this by unlocking the catalytic potential of geopolymers. With a possible role in fields from pharmaceuticals to environmental cleanup, the research envisions positioning geopolymers as a cheap, versatile, eco-friendly, and accessible alternative to traditional and expensive industrial catalysts, such as zeolites. The research, funded under the Science and Engineering Research Board grant, has completed proof-of-concept studies. Dr Shukla and Mr Mukesh Kumar conducted the experiments under the guidance of Prof Sudhanshu Sharma. An interesting area of research 👍 Can be explored further for Agglomeration & Iron making process.

4moVery good work on geopolymer applications. You have to work on more mineralogical aspects to establish the scientific findings. Hope for the best
