This is a profound observation. In our world, the true wealth lies not just in financial abundance but also in generosity of spirit, wisdom gained through life experiences, and the capacity for empathy born from personal struggles. This perspective underscores the importance of recognizing and valuing diverse forms of wealth and knowledge beyond what is traditionally measured or accredited. Generosity transcends monetary value, often manifesting in acts of kindness, compassion, and selflessness that enrich the lives of others and foster a sense of community. Similarly, wisdom can be acquired through various avenues, not solely confined to formal education. Life itself serves as a profound teacher, offering lessons through triumphs, challenges, and moments of introspection. Moreover, the kindness exhibited by individuals who have endured deep pain speaks volumes about the resilience of the human spirit. Their empathy stems from an understanding of suffering and a desire to alleviate it in others, making their kindness all the more profound and meaningful. In essence, these truths remind us to broaden our definitions of success and value, embracing the richness found in diverse human experiences and perspectives. By doing so, we create a more inclusive and compassionate society where the contributions of all individuals are recognized and celebrated. Thank you for sharing such thought-provoking insights. It's conversations like these that inspire us to reflect on what truly matters and strive to create a better world for everyone.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO AT WORK: - be in a place that isn’t work - talk about things that aren’t work - learn about your colleagues beyond who they are in work Yesterday was lovely, motivating and also relaxing after the slog of the last few weeks. Here’s to more of these! 🙌 #studio #team #teambuilding
What an incredible team ⚡️ TEAM GOALS ⚡ Yesterday marked our second Spark Inside Out day, and it was fantastic! We kicked things off by continuing our Confidence Programme. This time, everyone practiced their presentation and public speaking skills by sharing their Unpopular Opinion. The topics were definitely intriguing, with plenty of laughs, debates and controversy! It was a great way to help everyone step out of their comfort zones. Next, we had our monthly Like Club, which is always a hit and really gets our minds buzzing with fresh ideas. To wrap up the day and clear our heads, we went on a group walk to Rivington Pike. Even the weather was manageable – we had a picnic under the trees, enjoyed the blustery views from the top, and celebrated with cold beers at the bottom. A great way to blow the cobwebs away and bond with the guys! Days like these are essential, and we’re definitely planning more soon. Big thanks to Neil Marra, Calandra Tennant, Charlotte Wand, Olly Sussams, Anna Tolstoluzhska, Kate Rabjohns, Lindsay Brown, Nicol Pomfret, Emillie Watson, Abbie Lawton and not forgetting Max 🐾

Once your team grows beyond a few core people, it's no longer about individual results - it's about the overall team performance. In the garden, it's never about a single overproducing plant. You need a good average to get meaningful results. As any level of manager, it's your job to make sure the conditions are right - the same way you would for a garden. Water levels, soil mix, air flow; or for a team: clear requirements, timelines, expectations, training, support, etc. If out of 50 plants in your garden only two have a good return, then those plants are producing *in spite* of the conditions, and not thanks to them. So it's time to look at what you're doing wrong. Took a day off to get a head start on the garden, enjoy your weekend everyone :)

The Cocktail of Teams I noticed that my wife preparing cocktail of fruit juices to our granddaughter. As she mixed the fruits in the mixer she discarded the remaining fibers. This observation led to the writing of this post. Almost all fruits contain sugar and vitamin C as well. However some fruits have special chemical ingredients such as varieties of vitamins and antioxidants. The cocktail juice is rich in sugars and can spike sugar in blood. The removal of the sugar-trapping fibers allow sugars to enter the blood easily. Imagine each team member as a fruit with each member adding special value to the team. No single team members has all the nutritional skills that the body of work needs to grow healthily. Grinding team members to get their juices out lowers their values. Grinding of team members by pressurizing them, observing constantly what they do and controlling them tightly will lower the collective effort of the team. Treat team members well so that they give the juices of their talents and skills without exposing them to harsh treatment, Better to eat the fruit rather than seeking its juice and lowering its value. #teamcocktail #teamwork #grinding #controlling #leaders
