Is hiring like marketing? Or is marketing like hiring? Both have to know their target market, candidate, or customer. Both have to identify their specific persona(s). Both have to write compelling, attractive ad copy. Both have to figure out how and where to advertise. Both have to create a "wow factor" when someone does land on the ad/job posting. Both must create a great call to action and simple next steps for their target audiences. HR is the hardest job on the planet...they have to do everything to keep the engine running.
